Nature house in Wingene

Does not match the description on the website at all (in the meantime they have changed this after we contacted them about this). There are no 2 bedrooms and no play area for children. The cottage on arrival was very dirty and seriously run down: crack in the window, silicone coming off the windows so there was an infestation of flying ants inside, floor is broken, cobwebs and spiders in the corners of the toilet on the floor (obviously not cleaned in a long time), in the kitchen/living area it was full of fruit flies. It is absolutely not suitable for 4 people: no storage space for clothes, no hooks in the bathroom,... Response from landlord: Sorry to read that you have experienced this this way. The word "dilapidated" seems very harsh to us. We see to it that the house is always nicely cleaned. And plan the necessary repairs. Meanwhile, the silicone has been renewed on the windows. However, this work could only be done during a dry period. Because of the wet spring we could not do this earlier.
The piece of floor that has come up at the front door is planned for the autumn. It is extremely important to us that guests feel comfortable in our Tiny house. From the recent reviews from many other guests this summer, we got a lot of positive: good score on cleanliness, welcome, location, region, pictures show reality, .... . Of course, we are always open to constructive feedback so that our guests can enjoy a carefree vacation. Because that is what we get satisfaction from.

Komt helemaal niet overeen met de omschrijving op de website (ondertussen hebben ze dit aangepast nadat we met hen hierover contact hebben opgenomen). Er zijn geen 2 slaapkamers en er is geen speelweide voor kinderen. Het huisje was bij aankomst erg vuil en serieus afgeleefd: barst in de ruit, silicone komt van de ramen waardoor er een plaag van vliegende mieren binnen was, vloer is stuk, spinnenwebben en spinnen in de hoeken van de wc op de grond (duidelijk al heel lang niet meer gekuist), in de keuken/leefruimte zat het vol met fruitvliegen. Het is absoluut niet geschikt voor 4 personen: geen opbergruimte voor kleding, geen haken in de badkamer,...

Spijtig te lezen dat jullie dit zo hebben ervaren. Het woord 'afgeleefd' lijkt ons zeer hard verwoord. We zien erop toe dat het huisje steeds netjes wordt gepoetst. En plannen de nodige herstelwerken in. Ondertussen is de silicone vernieuwd aan de ramen. Dit werk kon echter pas uitgevoerd worden tijdens een droge periode. Waardoor we omwille van het natte voorjaar dit niet eerder konden doen.
Het stukje vloer die omhoog gekomen is aan de voordeur, staat in het najaar op de planning. We vinden het uitermate belangrijk dat de gasten zich goed voelen in onze tiny house. Uit de recente recensie's van vele andere gasten deze zomer, kregen we heel veel positiefs: goede score op netheid, onthaal, locatie, regio, foto's tonen de werkelijkheid, ... . We staan uiteraard steeds open voor opbouwende feedback, zodat onze gasten kunnen genieten van een zorgeloze vakantie. Want daar halen we voldoening uit.

The cottage is in a green area namely on a meadow that had been run down and fertilized shortly before our arrival so not really pleasant to sit outside let alone play with the children on how the owners described the meadow as a 'playing field'. They have since removed this from the facilities after our comment about it.

Het huisje ligt in een groene omgeving namelijk op een weide die kort voor onze aankomst was afgereden en bemest dus niet echt aangenaam om buiten te zitten laat staan om met de kinderen te spelen op hoe de eigenaars de weide omschreven als 'speelweide'. Dit hebben ze na onze opmerking erover ondertussen uit de faciliteiten geschrapt.

Hygiene left much to be desired.in the bedroom has not been cleaned for a long time behind and under the bed.Alsook not under the sofa bed.No hooks in the bathroom and bedroom.No welcome package,no greenery,bring your own coffee pods.

Hygiene liet te wensen over .in de slaapkamer is al heel lang niet meer achter en onder het bed schoongemaakt.
Alsook niet onder de slaapbank .
Geen haakjes in de badkamer en slaapkamer.
Geen welkomspakketje,geen groenaankleding ,eigen koffiepads meenemen .

No rest, upon arrival they were late to the field fertilizing, as well as, the next morning in the early.The stench was to perceive in the cottage.Use of the terrace was not an issue.The garden furniture was also dirty.Breakfast in the morning was not possible.(outside, weather was now after so long time r finally good) Birthday April 30 in minor

Geen rust ,bij aankomst waren ze tot laat het veld aan het bemesten ,alsook ,de volgende morgen in de vroegte.
De stank was tot in het huisje waar te nemen .
Gebruik maken van het terras was niet aan de orde.
De tuinmeubels waren ook vies .
Ontbijten s morgens was niet mogelijk.(buiten ,weer was thans na zo lange tijd rindelijk nog eens goed)

It met our expectations. Perfect for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle. The cottage was clean, lots of natural light in through the large windows and everything was there to make some food for yourself. We didn't actually leave the house all weekend. It was so cozy inside next to the stove, while outside it was unfortunately cold, raining and windy.

Het voldeed aan onze verwachtingen. Perfect om eens een weekendje weg te zijn uit de drukte. Het huisje was proper, veel daglicht binnen door de grote ramen en alles was aanwezig om zelf wat eten te maken. We zijn het huisje eigenlijk niet uitgekomen heel het weekend. Het was binnen zo gezellig naast de kachel, terwijl het buiten helaas koud was, regende en waaide.

We expected a little more nature. The area is more agricultural than forest. But it was very quiet. We came for the tranquility and we found it. What was also nice is that from the cottage we could watch the two grazing sheep staying right next to the cottage.

We hadden iets meer natuur verwacht. De omgeving is eerder landbouw dan bos. Maar het was er wel heel rustig. We kwamen voor de rust en die hebben we er ook gevonden. Wat ook leuk was is dat we vanuit het huisje konden we kijken naar de twee grazende schaapjes die verblijven vlak naast het huisje.
