Vignai belongs to the municipality of Baiardo (Bajardo) and is located around 9 km east of the main town on the border with the municipality of Badalucco (around 14 km by road). There are of course varied footpaths to both places, each of which takes about 2-3 hours through this charming and rather lonely landscape. The Oxentina Valley is considered the most beautiful and pristine side valley in the Argentina region and has hardly any traffic or bus connections from Baiardo in the west to the junction with the provincial road to Badalucco in the east. Countless half-day, full-day and multi-day tours are possible in all directions: to the beach, into the high mountains, in the footsteps of partisans and witches, Brigascan nomads, squatters and contemporary artists, but also local ways of life, cooking and handicrafts. Vignai itself is located right next to the Parco Naturale delle Alpi Liguri and our posto is a steep 10-minute walk up the slope in the middle of the forest from the barely used road.
