Formerly a farmhouse, now a nice place to be together with your partner, family or friends. Read by the wood stove (no central heating!), cook in the well-equipped kitchen, wander around or play on our large nature plot and sleep well on good mattresses. There is a bedroom downstairs with a 2pbed and in the attic a 2pbed, a 1pbed and a crib. In addition to this cottage, we rent out five pitches and four other accommodations under the name Atelier de la Charité. On our large property (3 ha) we let nature take its course for the most part. Cars stay in the parking lot, there are no paved paths. There is plenty of space so you can seek both the silence and the company of other guests. You can use a place of silence, a sauna (21/4 to 21/9), various playing facilities for young and old (including bocce, table tennis, volleyball, trampoline, sandpit, swing) and in the summer 2xpw a vegetarian meal.

We live in the Thiérache, a beautiful and non-touristy region just across the Belgian border, in the foothills of the French Ardennes. The landscape is green and rolling, meadows with hedges alternate with woods, the so-called coulisse landscape. There are many watercourses and a tangle of country roads with small villages. You can make beautiful walking, cycling or canoeing trips and visit the fortified churches typical of the region. From April to October, flea markets (brocantes) are organized on Sundays and holidays. A little further away, but very worthwhile, are the cathedral in Laon and the Familistère (social palace) in Guise.
