Our old authentic cottage in the French countryside is your ideal place if you are looking for peace, space, art, creativity, relaxation and/or nature. There is a cozy living room with sitting area, dining table, wood stove and a simple kitchenette. Upstairs is the bedroom with twin beds and an extra room where you can work or meditate, for example. There is WIFI. Water is also becoming increasingly scarce in the Creuse. Therefore, 15 steps from your front door you will find the bathhouse with compost toilet, shower and double sink. So here you can also get water for the cottage. This way we save liters of water with flushing the toilet and the shower and tap water flows directly to the garden. No waste! The house has a beautiful unobstructed view and is located in a small hamlet.

You're looking for a place with peace, space and nature? Come to us! Right from your front door you can make beautiful walking and cycling trips. There are numerous marked cycling and hiking trails in the area. The Creuse has thousands (!) of kilometers of cycling routes for mountain bikes and the paved roads are beautiful for road bikes. Nature here is overwhelming and unique. Forests and meadows alternate and this part is known for huge granite boulders scattered here and there. In the immediate vicinity are numerous small villages and towns with medieval churches, cozy squares, markets, galleries, museums and restaurants. In Guéret, 15 minutes by car, you can find all the stores you could wish for. At maximum one hour drive you are in Aubusson (visiting the museum with tapestries is very worthwhile!), at the beautiful lake of Vassiviere (with an impressive museum with contemporary landscape art) or in cities like Montlucon or Limoges.
