Nature house in Saman

We were there during a heat wave, and the swarms of mosquitoes can be a problem (because you want to leave everything open at night to cool off a bit!), so I would definitely recommend bringing mosquito repellent.
Since the tree had just broken off, we unfortunately couldn’t enjoy the hammock, but in the scorching heat, that probably wouldn’t have been possible anyway. The only area for improvement or attention for us was a good fan to provide much-needed cooling. (There is one, but it serves more as a heating fan, and it’s too weak to cool the room effectively.) Because during a heat wave, it really does get very hot inside.

Wij waren er tijdens een hittegolf en dan zijn de vele muggen een ding (want je wil ‘s nachts alles open om toch een beetje af te koelen!) dus ik zou zeker anti-muggenproduct aanraden.
Doordat de boom net was afgebroken helaas niet kunnen genieten van de hangmat maar in de zengende hitte had dat waarschijnlijk toch niet gekund. Enige punt van verbetering/aandacht was voor ons; een goede ventilator, voor de broodnodige verkoeling. (Er is er een maar die dient eerder als verwarmingsventilator en de kracht is te zwak om efficiënt af te koelen.) want bij een hittegolf wordt het echt wel erg warm binnen.

A wonderfully peaceful, quiet setting with a friendly host and hostess who give you plenty of privacy! The cottage is simple but functional, so all the essentials are there. It’s great that the standard essentials like oil, salt and pepper, and tea are provided!
The area is truly rural, so there isn’t much to do nearby. The lake 20 minutes away has lovely water, but there’s nowhere to relax (the sand turns to mud when you’re in wet swimwear); however, there’s also a nice swimming pool just 15 minutes away where you can cool off.

Heerlijk rustige, stille omgeving en vriendelijke gastheer en vrouw die je alle privacy geven! Huisje is simpel maar doeltreffend dus alle benodigdheden zijn wel aanwezig. Heel fijn dat de standaard benodigdheden zoals olie, peper/zout en thee aanwezig zijn!
De omgeving is echt heel landelijk dus er is weinig te doen in de omgeving. Het meer 20 min verderop heeft heerlijk water maar geen mogelijkheid om lekker te liggen (zand dus met natte zwemkleding modder) maar op 15min afstand ook fijn zwembad voor de verkoeling.

Bert and Nathalie are incredible hosts and super easy people. We received a warm welcome, and they checked in with us from time to time, which was much appreciated.
We loved being with them on our last evening, in many aspects there is like mindedness so we could discuss wide ranging topics with respect over a cup of tea. So, thank you for the company and the joy it brought us.

Perfect! The house is fully made of natural materials and kept so, and is amazing for people who'd like peace and quiet in the nature. Super spacious and lots of natural light. There is a private terrace with views of mother tree and green! The place is very well equipped, we did not miss anything. There is plenty of varied information available depending on one's interest.

It has been a great stay. We felt home here and leaving is difficult.

Excellent cottage, spacious and complete. Environment much to do and beautiful sunflower fields. It did lack nice chairs. The authentic French bistro set is nice, but is not suitable for long after-dinner dining or vacation celebration. Owners friendly and hospitable.

Prima huisje, ruim en compleet. Omgeving veel te doen en prachtige zonnebloemvelden. Het ontbrak wel aan lekkere stoelen. Het authentieke Franse bistrosetje staat leuk, maar is niet geschikt voor langdurig natafelen of onderuit vakantie vieren. Eigenaren vriendelijk en gastvrij.
