Nature house in Nes/. (Akkrum)

Communication with the landlord was poor; he didn’t respond to messages in the chat and wasn’t there to greet us. “Oh, did you also rent towels and bedding?”
The house wasn’t clean (shower drains, toilet brush holders), and the kitchen was filthy. There were moldy cutting boards in the cupboard and leftover salad in the salad bowl. The dishes weren’t clean. Fly droppings everywhere. “It happens,” was the landlord’s response; “everyone makes a mistake now and then.”
The dishwasher button wasn’t working (“didn’t get around to it”), and the shower rod downstairs was loose or broken.

After some serious insistence (when he finally showed up with a large, loose-roaming German Shepherd????), we were allowed to stay a few hours longer on the day of departure as compensation.

This was our first truly disappointing experience renting through nature house. We’re not complainers, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Het contact met de verhuurder was slecht, reageerde niet op berichten in de chat, was er niet voor ontvangst. 'O hadden jullie ook handdoeken en beddengoed gehuurd?'.
Het huis was niet schoon (doucheputjes, wc-borstelpotten) en de keuken was smerig. Er lagen beschimmelde snijplanken in de kast, slaresten in de slaschaal. Servies was niet schoon. Overal vliegenpoep. Kon gebeuren was de reactie van de verhuurder, iedereen maakt wel eens een foutje.
Knop van vaatwasser af ('niet aan toegekomen en douchestang beneden los/kapot.

Na flink aandringen (toen hij alsnog langskwam met een grote loslopende herdershond????) mochten we als compensatie een paar uur langer blijven oo de vertrekdag.

Voor het eerst een heel teleurstellende ervaring met huren via Natuurhuisje. Wij zijn geen zeurpieten, maar zoiets heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt.

The house is in a beautiful, secluded location. It's spacious and has a large deck.

Het huis ligt op een mooie plek, vrij. Ruim en met groot vlonderterras.

It is a beautiful and large house, plenty of space in and around the house. With a few improvements it could be a super house.

Het is een mooi en groot huis, volop ruimte in en om het huis.
Met een paar verbeteringen zou het een super huis kunnen zijn.
