This is a characteristic old water mill, built around 1850, which drew its energy from the water of the reservoir on the northwest side of the dike, in front of the mill. There have recently been archaeological finds indicating that a mill belonging to a slightly higher castle stood on this spot as early as the Middle Ages. Now it is an impressive large vacation home consisting of; the water mill, miller's house and a small house on the dike. Furthermore, there are several barns. It is completely free, in a rural environment and has its own grounds of about 12 hectares, of which 5 hectares are private lake. In this lake you can swim and fish.
Nature and surroundings
The mill is located about 2 km northwest of the town of Gueugnon (5 minutes drive) in the beautiful rolling countryside of Southern Burgundy, with meadows, forests and many meandering small streams, just east of wine region along the Saône and about 8 hours drive from Utrecht. In Gueugnon there are a number of large and not so large supermarkets. In Gueugnon there are also several delicious bakeries and a butcher.

Wim July 17, 2021 General rating:Inspirerende plek om te zijn. Veel authentieke details. In de grote ruimte van de watermolen kun je eten, spellen doen of andere activiteiten 's avonds of als het weer wat minder is. Ruime woonkeuken, voldoende slaapkamers met goede bedden in het gebouw van de watermolen en het huis ernaast.
Nature, peace & environment:De natuur rondom het huis is prachtig. Aan de voorkant uitzicht over het meer, achter een mooie tuin met in de verte heuvel met koeien. Ideale plek om met een groep of familie een mooie tijd te hebben.
