Nature house in Offingawier, Sneek

It is a nicely furnished cottage. Plenty of towels and bed linen. Contact with the landlord is very good, she responds quickly to questions. For 5 people there are a bit few coffee cups. An extra foot wipe mat by the sliding door is also handy especially when it rains so much and you still want to go outside during a dry shower. There was plenty of outdoor furniture. Bring plenty of dishwasher tablets yourself. Also, I like to cook and missed some wooden spoons and a large sharp knife, but that is personal. Please note that there is no covered shed for your bikes at this cottage. There is also no fence where you can secure your bikes. The pictures on the website give a good idea of the cottage .

Het is een mooi ingericht huisje. Ruim voldoende handdoeken en bedlinnen. Contact met de verhuurder is erg goed, zij reageert snel op vragen. Voor 5 personen zijn er wel wat weinig koffie kopjes. Een extra voetveegmat bij de schuifdeur is ook handig vooral wanneer het zo regent en je bij een droge bui toch even naar buiten wil. Er was voldoende buitenmeubilair. Neem zelf voldoende vaatwastabletten mee. Verder kook ik graag en miste wat houten lepels en een groot scherp mes, maar dat is persoonlijk. Let er wel op dat er bij dit huisje geen overdekt hok is voor je fietsen. Er is ook geen hek waar je je fietsen aan vast kunt zetten. De foto's op de website geven een goed beeld weer van het huisje .

In May the quiet was fine, it does depend what kind of neighbors you have. Our upstairs neighbors seemed to be running a marathon. We enjoyed the many boats on the Sneekermeer. We cycled a lot despite the slightly inclement weather. Especially round Sneekermeer was beautiful. At about 25 km cycling you find the bird hide the Skrok, a meadow bird sanctuary at the lake Swyns. With bad weather visited the Fries Scheepvaartmuseum in Sneek and the Jopie Huisman museum in Wommels. For delicious bread go to bakery Breimers who also has blissful Fryske Dûmkes and other Frisian products. Next to it delicious ice cream. You can cycle off all that.

In mei was de rust prima, het hangt wel af wat voor buren je hebt. Onze boven buren leken wel een marathon te lopen. We hebben genoten van de vele bootjes op het Sneekermeer. We hebben heel veel gefietst ondanks het wat mindere weer. Vooral rondje Sneekermeer was schitterend. Op ongeveer 25 km fietsen vind je de vogelkijkhut het Skrok, een weidevogelreservaat bij de plas Swyns. Met slecht weer het Fries Scheepvaartmuseum in Sneek bezocht en het Jopie Huisman museum in Wommels. Voor heerlijk brood ga je naar bakker Breimers die ook zalige Fryske Dûmkes en ander Friese producten heeft. Ernaast heerlijk ijs. Dat alles fiets je er wel weer af.
