Zeer fijne plek in alle privacy

Beautiful place and house. Very friendly owner. We had a nice weekend with our group of friends of 6 and 2 dogs in peace and beautiful walk in the adjacent forest. Kitchenware a little dated and the oven has a manual :-). But those are details. We would love to come back.

Mooie plek en huis. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar. Wij hebben een fijn weekend beleefd met onze vriendengroep van 6 en 2 hondjes in alle rust en mooie wandeling in het aanpalende bos. Keukengerief beetje gedateerd en de oven heeft een handleiding :-). Maar dat zijn details. Wij komen graag eens terug.

Prior to our long weekend, I had a few practical questions that I could only ask via the chat on the nature house site. It took until the Thursday before our departure for the owner to respond, so communication is quite difficult. We arrived at the house at 5 p.m. as announced. Fortunately there was a key box so we could enter. The house looked clean at first glance but soon we noticed that the house is actually a bit neglected. The house is beautifully situated on top of a hill with a beautiful large garden and lots of peace and quiet. We had to get our groceries in the Colruyt and I also communicated that we would be back at 18h: nobody saw. Nowhere to find a wifi code so I had to ask via the chat. Fortunately, I received a quick reply. The poor communication is also a downside. We felt abandoned all along the line. Are the reviews authentic?

Voorafgaand aan ons lang weekend had ik nog een paar praktische vragen.
Ik kon die alleen stellen via de chat op de site van natuurhuisje.
Het duurde tot de donderdag vóór ons vertrek eer de eigenaar reageerde.
De communicatie kan je dus best moeilijk noemen.
Om 17 u waren we zoals aangekondigd aan het huis. Er was niemand aanwezig.
Gelukkig was er een keybox zodat we binnen konden.
Het huis oogde op het eerste gezicht proper maar al snel merkten we dat het huis eigenlijk een beetje verwaarloosd is.
Het huis is wel prachtig gelegen boven op een heuvel met een mooie grote tuin en heel veel rust en stilte.
We moesten onze boodschappen halen in de Colruyt en ook dat deelde ik mee met de boodschap dat we om 18 u terug zouden zijn: niemand gezien.
Nergens een wifi-code te vinden waardoor ik via de chat erom moest vragen. Gelukkig kreeg ik hier wel snel antwoord.
De povere communicatie is ook een minpunt.
We voelden ons over de hele lijn aan ons lot overgelaten.
Zijn de reviews authentiek?

There is talk of 5 bedrooms but actually there are 2 nice spacious rooms but the other rooms are really small single rooms of which you have to go through one room to get to the other. And on a tiny mezzanine there are another 2 mattresses. The bathroom has been very nicely renovated with walk-in shower. The musty smell on the floor was covered up with scented sticks but gradually the musty smell prevailed. On the site there is a picture of a shiny bbq appliance among other things. Given the sunny weekend we planned a bbq.
In the garden we found a rusty and dirty bbq set that was not usable at all. Then we cooked the meat in the oven. That oven was very dirty and did not work properly. Also the dishwasher did not work properly this resulted in washing the dishes by hand. Finally, the TV did not work.

Er is sprake van 5 slaapkamers maar eigenlijk zijn er 2 mooie ruime kamers maar de andere kamers zijn echt kleine 1-persoonskamers waarvan je door de ene kamer moet om naar de andere te gaan. En op een piepkleine mezzanine liggen dan nog eens 2 matrassen.
De badkamer is heel fijn vernieuwd met inloopdouche.
De muffe geur op de verdieping werd verdoezeld met geurstokjes maar gaandeweg overheerste toch de muffe geur.
Op de site staat een foto van onder meer een blinkend bbq-toestel.
Gezien het zonnige weekend planden we een bbq.
In de tuin vonden we een verroest en vuil bbq-toestel dat helemaal niet meer bruikbaar was.
Dan maar het vlees in de oven bakken.
Die oven was heel vuil en werkte ook niet naar behoren.
Ook de vaatwasmachine werkte niet naar behoren dit resulteerde in afwassen met de hand.
Tenslotte werkte de tv ook niet.

the landlord came during the stay with additional charges for charging the electric car , understandable that charging must be paid but was perceived as a nuisance during the stay and have given as positive feedback , with the payment that he should better indicate in advance that there are costs involved

de verhuurder kwam tijdens het verblijf met extra kosten voor het laden van de electrische auto , begrijpelijk dat er voor het laden betaald moet worden maar werd als hinderlijk ervaren tijdens het verblijf en hebben als positieve feedback meegegeven , met de betaling dat hij het beter vooraf moet aangegeven dat daar kosten aan verbonden zijn
