Nature house in Eck en Wiel

On our little estate there is room for a stay in nature: a vacation (with children), unwind, write a book, work on an assignment or a (guided) retreat. The vacation cottage has its own entrance and is completely separate from the farmhouse. Guests have access to a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a private kitchen and an extra room with wood stove that can be used multifunctionally. The cottage rental includes bed linen, towels and kitchen linen. The nature house is surrounded by a nature garden that has been organically managed for 35 years and can call itself a "garden reserve. There are apple and pear trees, a plum tree, walnut trees, a sweet chestnut and various fruit-bearing shrubs. There is a natural pond, without fish and with frogs and salamanders, surrounded by a botanical garden and a flower garden for the bees. There are bee hives and muscovy ducks and three cats live on the property.

200 meters from the vacation accommodation is the Lower Rhine with floodplains and natural beaches. Within biking distance is the "Island of Maurik" with more tourist beaches, restaurants, a harbor, boat and canoe rentals, an adventure course, pitch and put, foot golf, and a water ski club. In the village of Ingen is De Haan;, an eco-farm, with farm store selling milk, cheese and meat from its own cows. At 'Gruun', an apple café, farm store and education center, you will find local products, a play area for children, tours of the orchard and a restaurant where you can have a nice lunch. Nearby, in Eck en Wiel, is 'De Heerlijkheid', a catering establishment with a large terrace and fun playground with bouncy castle and cable car. In the village of Maurik it is possible to rent bicycles from the local bicycle store. With the ferry across to Amerongen you are directly on the Utrecht Hill Ridge with forests where you can enjoy hiking, running and mountain biking.
