Nature house in Zonnemaire

I was looking for a place to de-stress and recharge, and I’m so glad I chose the outdoor room.

From Zonnemaire, it’s an easy drive to Zierikzee, Brouwershaven, the beach, and all kinds of beautiful places to go for a walk. Dieneke is a very sweet host who gives you a warm welcome and makes sure you have everything you need. A great spot if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and truly unwind!

Ik was op zoek naar een plek om te ontstressen en weer op te laden en ik ben heel blij dat ik voor de buitenkamer heb gekozen.

Vanuit Zonnemaire rijd je gemakkelijk naar Zierikzee, Brouwershaven, het strand en allerlei mooie plekken om te wandelen. Dieneke is een hele lieve host die je warm verwelkomt en zorgt dat je alles weet wat je nodig hebt. Een fijne plek als je even weg wilt uit de drukte en echt tot rust wilt komen!

The cottage is exactly as shown in the photos and has a nice shower. It’s wonderfully quiet there—except for the rooster and the occasional tractor—but that’s exactly what makes the rural atmosphere complete :)

Through the large window, you look out over the greenery and can enjoy watching the hares, birds, and, if you’re lucky, even a deer. Thanks to the screen on the porch, you can sit out of the wind and enjoy the morning sun.

Het huisje is precies zoals op de foto’s en heeft een fijne douche. Het is er heerlijk stil, op de haan en af en toe een trekker na, maar dat maakt de landelijke sfeer juist compleet :)

Door het grote raam kijk je uit over het groen en kun je genieten van de haasjes, vogels en, als je geluk hebt, zelfs een ree. Door het scherm op de veranda kun je heerlijk in de ochtendzon uit de wind zitten.

The cottage is simple, but comfortable enough if you're not looking for too much luxury. You do have everything you need. There’s a kitchenette, though it comes with a very small fridge, so actual cooking is a bit on the basic side. Otherwise, everything is there—we even got some verbena tea from their own garden to drink. The view through all the glass makes up for everything—a living painting we couldn’t get enough of. It’s also a lovely area with plenty of options for day trips. We highly recommend Zierikzee, as well as the Flood Museum. There’s plenty of water in the area, which we love.

Het huisje is eenvoudig, maar wel comfortabel genoeg als je niet al te veel luxe zoekt. Je hebt wel alles wat je nodig hebt. Er is een keukentje, maar wel met een heel klein koelkastje dus echt koken is wat aan de primitieve kant. Verder alles aanwezig, we kregen zelfs verveine thee uit eigen tuin om te drinken. Het uitzicht door al het glas maakt alles goed, een levend schilderij waar we geen genoeg van kregen. Verder een leuke omgeving met veel mogelijkheden tot uitstapjes. Zierikzee vonden wij een aanrader, net als het watersnoodmuseum. Veel water in de omgeving waar wij van houden.

Nothing but peace and quiet, the sound of birds and the rooster, beautiful surroundings—so absolutely fantastic! The cottage has lots of windows, offering a stunning view of the surroundings. We had mostly summery weather, so we were able to enjoy sitting outside.

Alleen maar rust en ruimte, geluid van de vogeltjes en de haan, mooie omgeving, dus helemaal top! Het huisje heeft heel veel glas en daardoor een prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving. Wij hadden grotendeels zomers weer dus hebben ook lekker buiten kunnen zitten.
