Nature and surroundings
A beautiful part of Gelderland in the heart of the rice-growing region, where the Rhine enters the Netherlands within walking distance and the Old Rhine and Old Waal are often flanked by idyllic little dikes. These dikes serve as a reminder of past dike breaches. The area is ideal for cyclists and hikers. Just a stone’s throw away is the Bylandt recreational lake, where you can swim, fish, and canoe. Let yourself be enchanted by the old river channels, the tranquility, and the beauty—a true delight for birdwatchers. Beavers are often spotted in this area; you just need to follow the gnaw marks. The cottage is located about 2 km from the German border. About 1.5 km away is a charming riverside promenade along the Rhine with nice restaurants and outdoor seating. Arnhem and Nijmegen are just a half-hour drive away.

A cozy and tastefully decorated cottage. It’s also a bit dark because of all the greenery.
