Nature house in De Heurne

We were welcomed by very friendly owners who are always willing to answer questions, and by the sweet Labrador, Pommes. A cozy cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great bed, and yes, the bathroom is a bit small, but that’s easily outweighed by all the other wonderful things the cottage has to offer. We enjoyed the wood-fired sauna and took a dip in the pool. We went on some beautiful cycling tours (following the cycle route network) and bought some tasty treats at the Landwinkel, 2 km away. Definitely a place we’d love to return to.

Ontvangen door heel aardige eigenaren die altijd bereid zijn vragen te beantwoorden èn door lieve labrador Pommes. Knus huisje waarin alles aanwezig is voor een comfortabel verblijf. Prima bed en ja de badkamer is wat klein maar weegt niet op tegen alle andere fijne dingen die het huisje wel biedt. Genoten van de hout gestookte sauna en gedompeld in het zwembad. Mooie (knooppunt)fietstochten gemaakt en lekkere dingen gekocht in de Landwinkel op 2km afstand. Absoluut een plek om nog eens naar terug te keren.

In this beautiful part of the Achterhoek, this nature house is a wonderful place to stay. It’s in a gorgeous location, set in a very large, beautiful garden surrounded by nature. The three chickens roaming around add a real rural touch.

In dit mooie deel van de Achterhoek is het goed toeven in dit Natuurhuisje. Prachtig gelegen, in hele grote mooie tuin omgeven door natuur. De 3 rondscharrelende kippen geven het helemaal een landelijk tintje.

It was a really lovely little cottage, with the wonderful hot tub and sauna as a major plus. The bed was large and comfortable. It was also nice that there was a kitchenette and that we were allowed to use the small kamado for barbecuing. And then there were the incredibly friendly hosts. They were super hospitable and helpful. A big plus is the record player with a nice selection of LPs to play. The only tiny downside was the ice-cold water in the pool. Though it was perfect as a plunge pool after the sauna.

Het was echt een superfijn huisje, met als grote plus de heerlijke hottub en sauna. Het bed was groot en comfortabel. Fijn ook dat er een keukentje in zit en dat we gebruik mochten maken van de kleine kamado om te barbecueën. En dan ook nog de enorm vriendelijke gastheren. Super gastvrij en behulpzaam. Dikke plus is de platenspeler met een mooie variatie aan lp’s die gedraaid kunnen worden. Enige inieminiepuntje was het ijskoude water in het zwembad. Wel uitermate geschikt als dompelbad na de sauna.

A lovely detached cottage in a large, beautiful garden, with chickens, a variety of birds, and a secluded pond with a seating area in the sun. Situated in a rural area, so it’s very open and peaceful. We received some great tips for walks in the area (e.g., Aalten and Winterswijk).

Heerlijke vrijstaand huisje in een grote mooie tuin, met kippen, variatie van vogeltjes, afgeschermde vijver met zitje in de zon. Landelijk gelegen en daardoor heel vrij en rustig. Mooie tips gehad voor wandelingen in de omgeving (bijv Aalten en Winterswijk)
