Nature house in Mehren

Lovingly renovated listed half-timbered house from the 19th century. The ecological aspect played a major role in the renovation and mainly old building materials and natural materials were used (natural stone, wood, clay plaster, wood fiber insulation). An alternative vacation home for nature-loving people who are looking for peace and relaxation and appreciate the charm of such a house. The building is part of the listed village center in the "half-timbered village of Mehren". The "Alte Backes" in Mehren (the village's former bakery) is privately inhabited by the owner and occasionally rented out as a vacation home. The house is designed for 2 people and has a total of 70 square meters of living space with a large living room, an eat-in kitchen, a hallway, a bathroom (shower, bathtub, washing machine, dryer) and a bedroom upstairs with a double bed. In addition to modern wall and underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove is available for cold days.

Outside there is a small garden, a covered veranda and a terrace with parasol, garden chairs, loungers and table. In the warm season there is an outdoor rainwater shower in the garden. Stay in the middle of an extensive hiking area in a beautiful rural location. The "Westerwaldsteig" trail leads directly past the house and the "Naturregion-Sieg" and the "Naturpark Rhein-Westerwald" are only a few kilometers away. The "Kroppacher Schweiz" on the Nister, the "Dreifelder Seenplatte" and the "Siebengebirge" are also within easy reach.
