Nature house in Valmartin

The cottage is very nice and conveniently located in the small village of Valmartin. We were there as a family with 2 adults and 3 children and felt comfortable. One disadvantage, however, is that the balcony is too small to eat outside together and the garden can only be reached via the street and not directly from the apartment. The garden is unfortunately also very small and has hardly any garden furniture, so we hardly spent any time together here either. The house has a total of 4 floors, whereby the upper two are rented together. Downstairs is the living room with kitchen and dining area. Unfortunately, it is so small that there is only a two-seater sofa, which cannot accommodate the whole family. There is also a bathroom downstairs and a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. Upstairs under the roof there is another room with a double bed. You can't stand upright here. When you're in bed, it's cozy and you can see the stars from the skylights.

Das Häusschen ist sehr schön und passend in dem kleinen Dorf Valmartin. Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern dort und haben uns wohl gefühlt. Ein Nachteil ist jedoch, dass der Balkon zu klein ist, als das man draußen gemeinsam Essen kann und der Garten kann nur über die Straße und nicht direkt aus der Wohnung erreicht werden. Der Garten ist leider auch sehr klein und hat kaum Gartenmöbel, so dass auch hier kaum gemeinsame Zeit verbracht wurde. Das Haus hat insgesmat 4 Stockwerke, wobei dei oberen beiden hier zusammenhängend vermietet werden. Unten befindet sich der Wohnraum mit Küche und Essbereich. Leider ist es so klein, dass es nur ein Zweisitzer Sofa gibt, auf dem nicht die ganze Familie Platz findet. Außerdem gibt es unten ein Bad und ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und einem Stockbett. Oben unterm Dach befindet sich ein weiterer Raum mit einem Doppelbett. Hier kann man nicht aufrecht stehen. Wenn man im Bett liegt ist es gemütlich und man aus den Dachfenstern die Sterne sehen.

The house is beautifully situated in a cul-de-sac with a lovely view of Valtournenche from the Bakon. A hiking trail starts directly from the house and leads up the mountain to a variety of destinations, depending on which fork you take further up: To the reservoir (about 2 hours), to Valtournenche, to several via ferratas (about half an hour), to the high-altitude hiking trail towards Breuil Cervinia. The area is beautiful and the paths are well marked.

Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen in einer Sackgasse mit schönem Ausblick auf Valtournenche vom Bakon aus. Direkt vom Haus aus startet ein Wanderweg den Berg hinauf auf dem man eine Vielzahl von Zielen erreichen kann, je nachdem welche Abzweigung man weiter oben nimmt: Zum Stausee (circa 2 Stunden), nach Valtournenche, zu mehreren Klettersteigen (circa eine halbe Stunde), zum Höhenwanderweg Richtung Breuil Cervinia. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und die Wege sind gut markiert.

The Nature house had everything we needed. Everything was thought of for a nice stay. We had a good time and felt very comfortable.

Das Naturhäuschen hatte alles was wir brauchten. Es war an alles für einen schönen Aufenthalt gedacht. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The Nature house offers good access to hiking trails, shopping facilities (approx. 15 min walk). There was the possibility to get fresh spring water from a well.

Das Naturhäuschen bietet guten Zugang zu Wanderwegen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (ca. 15 min Fußweg). Es gab die Möglichkeit frisches Quellwasser aus einem Brunnen zu holen.
