Nature house in Hitzum

This nature house is very and only suitable for people who love 'back to basics' and make a conscious choice to do so. We rent out 4 'tinyhouses' on a still working dairy farm. There are 4 showers, 4 toilets and 6 sinks, but not in the house itself. If you don't mind walking 20 steps and getting some fresh air, you've come to the right place! Because we have chosen to rent the cottages year round, there is no running water. However, there is, each Tiny house has a 20 liter jerry can with tap, which you can fill at the sanitary building! You really won't miss the "running hot water"! The cottage is equipped with a kitchen with an induction hob, kitchenette with coffee maker no 4, kettle and sink, so you can just wash dishes in the cottage! Each cottage has a private jacuzzi. Surcharge use jacuzzi 25 euros per night. Bed, hand and linen is included in the price.

Hitzum is one of the oldest villages in the Waadhoeke. It is a mound village, whose first habitation dates back to the beginning of the era. A number of mounds can still be found in and around the village. Around the turn of the century a large number of mounds were excavated. A number of steep edges of these excavations can still be found in the village. In addition, a number of plots were chipped off for pan work and tile manufacturing. Along the west side of the village runs the Arumervaart canal. From this canal runs an upstream canal to the Noorderbuurt. From the Arumervaart you can sail by (motor) boat, sup, canoe which are also for rent to the nearby places (harlingen, franeker, bolsward).Harlingen and Franeker are less than 5 km away from Hitzum. Sneek, Leeuwarden and Bolsward at less than 20 km.Walking routes and cycling routes are sufficient here.Also in Franeker you can rent bicycles.
