This nature house is located in the middle of nature, on the edge of a forest, in the hamlet of Nonnenbourg near the village of Walscheid. There are 9 sleeping places in the house (3 rooms with a double bed (2x 180cm and 1x 160 cm) , 1 with 2 single beds (2x 90 cm) and 1 with a doubter (120 cm) ). Downstairs is a spacious living room of 49m2 with open kitchen. There is a spacious garden where in summer you can enjoy the sun, eat and BBQ. There is internet available (fiberglass), a dishwasher, bathtub, shower, dryer and washing machine. The house is mainly heated by a wood stove. The house is located on a steep hill (60 meters walk up). For people with difficulty walking it can be difficult to get to the top. The cottage itself is difficult to reach by car, which we recommend to park at the bottom of the road. The cottage is currently for sale. Whereby a visit with real estate agent and potential buyer during the stay is possible.
Nature and surroundings
The area is slightly hilly. Several hiking trails from the cottage. There is also a free swimming lake near the village of Walscheid. In the immediate vicinity are nice attractions such as (castle) ruins, a glassworks, toboggan run, boat elevator and underground forts. A bakery is 5 minutes away by car. Other shopping and amenities at 20 minutes in Sarrebourg. The cities of Nancy, Metz and Strassbourg can be reached in an hour. The cottage is a 3.5-hour drive (270 km) from Maastricht and 4.5-hour drive (480 km) from Tilburg.
