Nature house in chiddes

This Maison is a small, old farmhouse on a narrow road, 50 meters from the forest, situated on a south-facing slope with a beautiful view of the rolling, meadow-covered countryside. Parking is available next to and in front of the house. The entryway leads to two bedrooms, a half-bath, a full bathroom, and the living room. The master bedroom has a private balcony on the garden side with a view. The bright, double-height living room, featuring old oak beams, has a large dining table, built-in closets, a kitchenette, and a sitting area with a view of the hills. On the mezzanine, there is a second sitting area and a work table where children can also enjoy drawing. On the landing, there is a second bathroom and toilet, and two spacious bedrooms. The living room opens onto a spacious covered terrace—after all, in France, you naturally want to be outdoors. In the summer, there’s an above-ground pool. The upper and lower gardens are connected by stairs and cover a combined area of 2,000 m²; you can take a nice stroll along the hedges and meadows. Gather the fallen fruit and nuts, and pick the grapes!

From the house, you can head straight out into nature; there are various short and long hikes to choose from—through the woods or across meadows, through villages, or simply through nature. And for the experienced hiker, the GR 13 trail runs nearby. The southern Morvan is a stunning nature reserve featuring deciduous and coniferous forests interspersed with meadows. The rolling hills offer breathtaking views. The highest point in the Morvan, the Haut Folin at nearly 1,000 meters, is just a stone’s throw away. Nearby is also Mont Beuvray, home to a Roman archaeological site and the new Bibracte Museum. The high hills are a paradise for active cyclists and mountain bikers, with numerous routes and beautiful climbs. And of course, there are the charming French villages, outdoor cafés, and little churches, where many events are held. Autun is a larger ancient Roman city with a rich history located nearby. The world-famous Burgundy wine region is just under an hour away.
