This cottage does not meet the quality I expect from naturehouse.com. First some positive things: You feel like you are in the middle of the forest in this cottage. The garden is pleasant although I am not sure if there is garden furniture (we did not see it, but in hindsight we could have looked for it better). The cottage was clean and matches the pictures.Then what disappointed us: The cottage surprised us negatively several times. It started with the booking: I had filtered on four adults on the website, but after booking it turned out that the landlord did not actually want that. Fortunately, they made an exception. The payment: part of the booking must be paid in advance, and part cash to the owner (including 50 euros for the cleaning of about 30 square meters of chalet). Bedding is also not included in the price. Afterwards, on top of that, charges for electricity and gas are deducted from the deposit. In our case, that was 6 euros for one night's stay. I find that a high amount, so that suggests that this cottage is not sustainable. For garbage disposal you also have to pay two euros each time. In this way it is unclear during the booking exactly how much you will pay. That you have to pay on three occasions I found an unpleasant experience. State of the cottage: in itself, everything in the cottage worked well enough, but there are points that show that the maintenance could be better. The refrigerator is in need of replacement. It makes a lot of noise and presumably also guzzles energy. The noise from the refrigerator can be easily heard in both bedrooms. From the faucet in the bathroom, the handle comes off easily, we almost lost it in the sink which has no grate. The small bedroom has a blind that does not open all the way and, due to a repair with tape, it is also difficult to close. Finally, there was mold in the senseo machine.Classification: we had to search for the kettle and senseo. These were in fact not in the kitchen, but in a cupboard in the living room. Certainly a kettle I would expect on the kitchen counter. Also, there was no garbage bag. About the floor plan of the cottage we are satisfied, and the beds and sofas are in fine condition. In short, the cottage is not bad, but because of all the setbacks, the stay as a whole is not recommended.

Je voelt je in dit huisje alsof je midden in het bos bent. De tuin is prettig alhoewel ik niet zeker weet of er tuinmeubilair aanwezig is (we hebben het niet gezien, maar achteraf gezien hadden we beter kunnen zoeken). Het huisje was schoon en komt overeen met de foto's.

Dan wat ons tegenviel:

Het huisje heeft ons een aantal keer negatief verrast. Het begon al bij de boeking: ik had op vier volwassenen gefilterd op de website, maar na het boeken bleek dat de verhuurder dat eigenlijk niet wilde. Gelukkig hebben ze een uitzondering gemaakt.

De betaling: een deel van de boeking moet vooraf worden betaald, en een deel cash aan de eigenaar (waaronder 50 euro voor de schoonmaak van zo'n 30 vierkante meter chalet). Beddengoed zit ook niet in de prijs inbegrepen. Achteraf worden daar bovenop nog kosten voor stroom en gas van de borg afgetrokken. In ons geval was dat 6 euro voor één overnachting. Ik vind dat een hoog bedrag, dus dat suggereert dat dit huisje niet duurzaam is. Voor afval wegbrengen moet je ook nog twee euro per keer betalen. Het is op deze manier tijdens het boeken dus onduidelijk hoeveel je precies gaat betalen. Dat je op drie momenten moet betalen vond ik een onprettige ervaring.

Staat van het huisje: op zich werkte alles in het huisje goed genoeg, maar er zijn puntjes waaruit blijkt dat het onderhoud beter kan. De koelkast is aan vervanging toe. Deze maakt veel herrie en slurpt vermoedelijk ook energie. De herrie van de koelkast is goed te horen in beide slaapkamers. Van de kraan in de badkamer laat het handvat makkelijk los, die waren we bijna verloren in de wasbak die geen roostertje heeft. De kleine slaapkamer heeft een rolgordijn dat niet helemaal open kan en door een reparatie met plakband ook moeilijk sluit. Tot slot zat er schimmel in het senseo-apparaat.

Indeling: we hebben moeten zoeken naar de waterkoker en senseo. Deze stonden namelijk niet in de keuken, maar in een kastje in de woonkamer. Zeker een waterkoker zou ik op het aanrecht verwachten. Ook was er geen vuilniszak. Over het vloerplan van het huisje zijn we wel tevreden en de bedden en banken zijn in prima staat.

Kortom, het huisje is niet slecht, maar door alle tegenvallers is het verblijf als geheel geen aanrader.

The cottage is on the outer edge of a vacation park, but you don't notice much of that. It is located directly on the asphalt road that runs through the forest, and so you are in the middle of the forest. This does make it quite dark inside. The road is quite quiet and at night you can hear owls.

Het huisje ligt aan de buitenrand van een vakantiepark, maar daar merk je weinig van. Het ligt direct aan de asfaltweg die door het bos loopt, en je zit dus midden in het bos. Daardoor is het binnen wel best donker. De weg is vrij rustig en 's nachts kun je uilen horen.
