Our beautiful and cozy 90 m2 chalet in La Morte offers a comfortable place to stay for 6 people. Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and has a double bed and an option for a single bed. Bedroom 2 is upstairs and consists of a double bed, a desk and a closet. Bedroom 3 is also upstairs has a double bed. In addition to these three bedrooms, there are two spacious mezzanines, both of which offer a place to sit with a couch. One of the mezzanines has a single mattress. On the ground floor you will find a cozy living room with wood stove and a separate dining room. The fully equipped kitchen has an induction hob and electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, refrigerator and various appliances. In the bathroom, also on the ground floor, you will find a bathtub, shower and toilet. The nature house is equipped with electric heating and the beds have warm comforters.
Nature and surroundings
Our chalet is located in the beautiful surroundings of Alpe du Grand Serre at 1400 mtr near the Col de la Morte. It is easily accessible by car, public transport and plane. At 1 km from the chalet is a charging point for electriche cars. Grenoble is a 45-minute drive away. Alpe du Grand Serre offers year-round outdoor activities with alpine skiing (55 km of slopes), cross-country skiing (30 km of trails), snowshoe trails, ski touring routes, hiking and climbing and many opportunities for cycling and mountain biking. Alpe du Grand Serre is near National Parc des Ecrins and the ski stations Alpe d' Huez, Les Deux Alpes and Chamrousse are a 35-60 minute drive away. The chalet is located on the outskirts of the village. From the chalet, hiking trails begin in the mountains up to the Taillefer massif. The area is very quiet and the views are great.

Paulus August 5, 2023 General rating:We hebben bijzonder genoten van ons verblijf in dit chalet. Prachtig plekje. Veel wandeltochten kun je lopend vanaf dit chalet maken.
Hartelijke eigenaar die altijd via mobiel beschikbaar was als we hem nodig hadden en die ons tips gaf.
Het gezellige chalet heeft een fijne complete keuken, knusse zithoek, eetkamer en terras met prachtig uitzicht, ruime slaapkamers. In één slaapkamer lig je onder het dakraam en kun je 's nachts de sterren zien. Alles schoon en goed onderhouden. Fijne buitenberging! Parkeermogelijkheid naast chalet.
Dichtbij het chalet is een sherpa, waar je de meest noodzakelijke boodschappen kunt halen. Wij haalden er elke morgen lekker vers, warm brood. Heerlijke geitenkaas haalden we bij de geitenboerderij vlakbij. De eigenaar gaf ons een heel interessante rondleiding. Zuivere honing kochten we langs de weg bij het chalet.
Mensen in deze omgeving zijn heel vriendelijk. Wij beheersen het Frans niet, maar het viel ons op dat zoveel lokale mensen uit zichzelf een praatje met ons kwamen maken in het Engels.
Om echt boodschappen te doen moet je de auto pakken, maar dat combineerden we met verschillende uitstapjes: de hangbruggen bij Lac de Monteynard, waar je ook heerlijk kunt kanoën; Lac Charlet en Mont Tabor; La Foret des Gillardes en de Canyon de L'Infernet. We maakten ook een uitstapje naar Vizille: mooi kasteel met interressant museum en prachtig park, en deden toen daar gelijk onze boodschappenNature, peace & environment:Ongerepte natuur. Marmotten zijn van dichtbij te observeren. Zo'n 30 meter voor ons staken 2 herten het pad over en bleven daar even staan. Prachtige vlinders. We hebben vooral genoten van de meren hoger op de Taillefer. Je ziet daar bijna geen mensen. In het water verschillende kikkers en salamanders. Erboven libellen en waterjuffers. Prachtige bloemen, o.a. verschillende gentianen.
Bij het chalet hoorden we vaak de zwarte roodstaart zingen. Ze kwamen tot bij het terras om broodkruimels te eten.
's Avonds bij het chalet genoten van krekelconcert. Na 23.00 uur gaat alle verlichting uit. Wat is de sterrenhemel dan prachtig!
