The booking process was completely straightforward. Maarten sent detailed directions the day before arrival. Overall, the communication was very friendly. The chalet is wonderfully situated in the countryside in the immediate vicinity of a small game reserve. The facilities are very good, nothing was missing. I was traveling alone, so the size of the chalet was perfectly adequate. The bed was very comfortable - just like the whole chalet has a cozy, rustic feel. However, you should be aware that this is not a luxury chalet, but rather has the character of a static caravan. Those who like a bit of a camping feel will love it. The hot water and stove (gas) work great. Heating is provided by a small electric oven. The terrace needs a little renovation, but Maarten already has this in mind. And if you like cats, you can look forward to a few lovely visitors. I really enjoyed my stay.

Die Abwicklung der Buchung war völlig unkompliziert. Am Tag vor der Anreise schickte Maarten einen detaillierten Anreisehinweis. Insgesamt war die Kommunikation sehr freundlich. Das Chalet liegt wunderbar in der Natur in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem kleinen Wildgehege. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es fehlte an nichts. Ich war alleine unterwegs, so dass die Größe des Chalets völlig ausreichte. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich - wie das gesamte Chalet eine gemütliche, rustikale Ausstrahlung hat. Man sollte sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass dies kein Luxus-Chalet ist, sondern vielmehr den Charakter eines Stand-Caravans hat. Wer ein bisschen Camping-Gefühl mag, wird es lieben. Warmwasser und Herd (Gas) funktionieren super. Geheizt wird über einen kleinen Strom-Ofen. Die Terrasse bedarf einer kleinen Renovierung, die Maarten jedoch schon im Blick hat. Und wer Katzen mag, darf sich auf ein paar liebenswerte Besucher freuen. Ich habe den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

The cottage is in a wonderfully quiet location almost in the middle of the field. Unfortunately, during my trip, the farmer in the fields was harvesting potatoes late into the night. Hence a point deduction. But of course this is only a temporary thing. The chalet is an excellent base for hiking and cycling tours. There are beautiful hiking trails in the direction of Veere, which I discovered for the first time after countless stays in Zeeland. Forest, meadow, small lakes, streams, Veerse Meer - incredibly beautiful.

Das Häuschen liegt herrlich ruhig nahezu mitten auf dem Feld. Während meiner Reise erntete leider der Bauer der Felder Kartoffeln bis in die Nacht. Daher ein Punkt Abzug. Ist aber natürlich nur eine temporäre Sache. Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren sind vom Chalet aus hervorragend zu machen. Richtung Veere gibt es wunderschöne Wanderwege, die ich selbst nach unzähligen Zeeland-Aufenthalten zum ersten Mal entdeckte. Wald, Wiese, kleine Seen, Bachläufe, Veerse Meer - unfassbar schön.
