Nature, peace & environment:We stayed in in this super cozy house during the week of Christmas. This house is in a beautiful setting and is equipped with every comfort. The owner had even arranged for a decorated Christmas tree and there was a welcome package including a nice bottle of wine. Minus point: We stayed in a week with night frost and the house was difficult to get sufficiently warm without using wood stoves. In 1 week time 9 bags of firewood at 7.20€ per bag (Brico) + a lot of kindling meant a considerable extra cost on the already decent rent. Of course, the stoves are also super cozy, especially the small stove at the dining table and 2 chairs was our favorite. The big stove smokes a lot when lit and the smoke comes into the living area. Minpuntje: Wij verbleven er in een week met nachtvorst en het huis was moeilijk voldoende warm te krijgen zonder bijstoken met houtkachels. Op 1 week tijd 9 zakken brandhout aan 7.20€ per zak (Brico) + flink wat aanmaakhoutjes betekende een behoorlijk extra kost op de toch al behoorlijke huur. Uiteraard zijn de kachels ook super gezellig, vooral het kleine kacheltje aan de eettafel en de 2 stoeltjes was ons favoriete plekje. De grote kachel rookt erg veel bij aansteken en de rook komt in de woonruimte. Reden: koude schoorsteen dus best geleidelijk aan aansteken.
