Beautiful, tastefully decorated old farmhouse in the heart of Burgundy. Easy access to several walking and cycling routes. Parking for 2-3 cars in front of the house. Detached house with approx 10 houses on the hamlet. 4 bedrooms on the ground floor, 2 bathrooms, open-plan kitchen/ living room. 2 of the bedrooms have double beds (160 x 200), and the other 2 have bunk beds & single bed and single bed and pull-out bed (single/double). Kitchen is fully equipped - oven, dishwasher, micro-wave, gas-cooker, fridge/freezer, pots and pans, plates etc. Own private swimming pool,
Nature and surroundings
Nature around here is very rich. You may find rivers, lakes and the famous Canal du Nivernais (leisure crafts circuits are offered all around the Canal). Ideal for hiking, swimming at some of the rivers // lakes, rafting, canoeing, kayaking and horse riding. There are many towns and villages that you may visit in the region. The region is crowded with monuments and historical sites. As an example, close to the property, you have the village of Vézelay. A defendable hill town, very famous for its Abbey. The village and the Basilica of St. Magdalene are designated UNESCO World Heritage sites. Other sites to see for example are Avallon, Autun, and Nevers. The region is also very well known for its gastronomic sites. Burgundy’s wine is known worldwide, and you may find vineyards and wine culture all around the region. There are severeal Michelin-starred restaurants in the area, like for example Bernard Loiseau’s restaurant at Saulieu and Marc Meneau’s restaurant at Vézelay.
