A really lovely place—we enjoyed the house and our stay

We had an absolutely wonderful time here for two weeks. The cottage is in a lovely location. It’s incredibly peaceful. The garden is large. Even in warm weather, the ground floor stays wonderfully cool. The cottage is incredibly well-equipped—it really has everything you need. The beds are comfortable. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and, if you’d like, biking. There are no major cities or highways within a wide radius. So it’s a wonderful place to enjoy some peace and quiet. It’s also very dog-friendly. A 5- to 10-minute drive away, there’s a bakery and a reasonably sized supermarket. If you get to the bakery around 9 a.m., the bread is still warm. The baguettes are good, and the butter croissants are insanely delicious. There are two BBQs in the garden, which we used a lot. There are two hypermarkets within a 25-minute drive. We had a few minor issues during our stay, but the owners, Ton and Joyce, responded quickly and made sure they were resolved right away. Very friendly and thoughtful people!

Wij hebben het hier twee weken ontzettend fijn gehad. Het huisje ligt op een prettige plek. Het is er super rustig. De tuin is groot. Op de begane grond blijft het ook bij warm weer heerlijk koel. Het huisje is ontzettend compleet, werkelijk alles is aanwezig. De bedden zijn goed. De omgeving leent zich voor wandelen en eventueel fietsen. Er zijn geen grote steden, of snelwegen in de wijde omtrek. Een heerlijke plek dus om te genieten van rust. Ook heel geschikt als je honden hebt. Op 5-10 minuten rijden zijn er een bakker en een redelijk formaat supermarkt. Als je rond 9 uur bij de bakker bent, is het brood nog warm. De baguettes zijn goed, de roombotercroissants absurd lekker. In de tuin staan 2 bbqs, waar wij veel gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Op 25 minuten rijden zijn er twee hypermarches. Wij hadden tijdens ons verblijf een paar kleine probleempjes, maar de eigenaren Ton en Joyce reageerden snel en zorgden ervoor dat het meteen werd opgelost. Hele vriendelijke en attente mensen!

A practical, spacious home equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need, beautifully and authentically decorated, well-maintained, and in excellent condition. A comfortable, spacious bed, an excellent kitchen, a large dining table, and a lovely living room. Everything is practical yet stylish. The garden is absolutely lovely—spacious, with seating on all sides so you can sit right in or out of the sun. It has charming plants and delicious edible shrubs; I really enjoyed the red berries, which were already nice and plump and red. You can also pick herbs right from the garden—so nice! They even thought of our two little dogs: a nice, spacious basket that fits them both comfortably and a double bowl for food and/or water—really great! Personally, I especially liked the hammocks—sturdy construction and wonderfully relaxing. All the garden furniture is also suitable for those of us who are a bit heavier. The surroundings are peaceful; you’ll need to take the car for a quick errand, but that’s no problem at all in Capelle, for example—you can find everything there. Also highly recommended for a visit a little further away is Laos!

Praktische ruime woning voorzien met werkelijk alles wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben, mooie authentiek gedecoreerd, verzorgd en in prima staat. Goed en ruim bed, uitstekende keuken, ruime eettafel en prima woonkamer. Alles praktisch en toch stijlvol. De tuin is super fijn, ruim, aan alle kanten kun je zitten dus juist in of uit de zon, gezellige beplanting, heerlijke eetbare stuiken erbij, ik heb genoten van de rode besjes die al mooie vol en rood waren. Ook kruiden kun je zo uit de tuin gebruiken, super fijn! Ook aan onze 2 hondjes was gedacht, een fijne ruime mand, prima passend voor hun samen en een dubbele bak voor eten en of water, echt top! De hangmatten vond ik persoonlijk extra fijn, stevige constructie heerlijk relaxed, alle tuin meubilair is ook geschikt voor de wat zwaardere onder ons. De omgeving rustig, je moet even de auto pakken voor een boodschap maar dat is is bijvoorbeeld in Capelle prima te doen, alles is daar. Verder een aanrader om te bezoeken iets verder is Laos!

The cottage is truly a charming French cottage with two fireplaces and period features. Everything you need is provided and well-maintained. The beds are so comfortable!
We had a wonderful time

Het huisje is echt een sfeervolle Frans huisje met 2 openhaarden en oude elementen. Alles is voldoende aanwezig en goed verzorgd. De bedden liggen heerlijk!
Wij hebben genoten

A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. A short walk to the forest, where we spotted several roe deer. We also spotted many birds of prey. The garden is a wonderful place to relax. There are several seating areas, both in the shade and in the sun. Our dogs loved it.

Heerlijk huisje in een prachtige omgeving. Kleine wandeling naar het bos waar we verschillende reeën gespot hebben. Ook veel (roofvogels gespot). De tuin is heerlijk om in te vertoeven. Verschillende zitjes in de schaduw of in de zon. Onze honden vonden het heerlijk.
