Welcome to our attractive and ecological nature house, located in a quiet French village 300 km from Utrecht. You stay in the middle of the green, with 900 m² of garden all around, a stream behind the house and a forest within walking distance - great for walkers and nature lovers. Downstairs you will find a double bedroom, bathroom, utility room (washing machine, dryer, microwave), a cozy living room with wood stoves and a well-equipped kitchen. For the children there are plenty of games available and also 2 lovely hammocks for well-deserved rest. Upstairs are two cozy bedrooms with a total of 5 beds. For the little ones there is a camp bed. The lockable front yard is ideal for children or dogs. There is high-speed fiber optic internet and bedding and towels are included. The house is connected to an ecological septic tank with plant filter (phytopurification), an environmentally conscious choice. A nice place to catch your breath and enjoy peace, space and nature.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is delightfully quiet in the green Thiérache, a hilly area in northern France. The forest is within walking distance - perfect for hiking, with a chance of seeing deer or boar. 20 minutes away by car is a swimming lake with plenty of activities for young and old: pedal boats, miniature golf, a zipline across the water and treetop trails for young children. Visit atmospheric cities like Saint-Quentin, Laon (with medieval upper town and cathedral) and Reims, city of champagne. In spring and summer there are plenty of flea markets and lively flea markets. The region is known for its fortified churches - our village has a beautifully restored one. Musée Godin in Guise is highly recommended. You will find plenty of hiking, biking and canoeing opportunities. Stores, bakeries and supermarkets are less than a 10-minute drive away. A wonderful place for nature lovers, peace and quiet, young families and dog owners.
