Nature house in Oosterwolde

Our luxury vacation chalet is located on the border of Friesland and Drenthe, right on the water, with a beautiful view of the Goudmeer. This nature house is nestled in the heart of nature, in a small, intimate park. Surrounded by the Fochterloërveen and Drents Friese Wold nature reserves, it is a true paradise for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. The chalet is spacious, modern, comfortable, and cozily furnished, and equipped with all the amenities you need. It features two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, and the smaller bedroom has two single beds (both box-spring beds). The on-site parking and separate bike shed are ideal. The beautiful lakeside location is unique. The terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy the view of the Goudmeer. Unfortunately, due to low water levels and vegetation, it is not always possible to fish (for carp) or swim in the Goudmeer at this time. We’re working hard to find a solution. This nature house is ideally located for exploring the surrounding natural area. Cyclists, hikers, birdwatchers, and nature lovers will find plenty to enjoy here. The Fochterloërveen nature reserve is just a stone’s throw away and is known for its populations of cranes and marsh harriers. The Drents Friese Wold National Park is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands and features sand drifts, forests, heathland, and stream valley grasslands. The historic prison village of Veenhuizen is just around the corner and is definitely worth a visit. The surrounding area is densely forested. Appelscha, Roden, Norg, Eelde, and Zuidlaren are charming towns to visit, each with its own sights and great places to eat. A visit to the Wadden Islands is also quite doable. The cities of Assen, Drachten, and Groningen are also easily accessible from Oosterwolde. There are several enjoyable cycling and hiking routes in the area.
