On the border of Friesland and Drenthe, right on the water, with beautiful views of the Goudmeer lies our luxury vacation chalet. This nature house is located in the middle of nature, on a small park. Surrounded by the nature reserves Fochterloërveen and Drents Friese Wold it is a true paradise for nature lovers and peace seekers. The chalet is spacious, modern, comfortable and cozy and fully equipped. The chalet has two bedrooms. One bedroom with a double bed, and a smaller bedroom with two single beds (both box spring) Ideal is the on-site parking, and the separate bicycle shed. The beautiful waterfront location is unique. The terrace is a nice place to enjoy the view of Lake Gouda. Unfortunately, currently it is not possible to (carp) fish on and swim in Lake Gouda due to low water levels and plant growth. We are working hard to find a solution. Welcome to Zilverzicht!
Nature and surroundings
This nature house has an ideal location for exploring the nature in the area. Cyclists, hikers, birdwatchers and nature lovers can enjoy themselves here. The Fochterloërveen nature reserve is just a stone's throw away and is known for the presence of the crane and the marsh harrier. The national park Drents Friese Wold is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands and offers sand drifts, forest, heath and stream valley grasslands. The historic prison village of Veenhuizen is just around the corner is definitely worth a visit. The surrounding area is wooded. Appelscha, Roden, Norg, Eelde and Zuidlaren are nice places to visit. Each with its own attractions and nice places to eat. A visit to the Wadden Islands is even fine. The cities of Assen, Drachten and Groningen are also within easy reach from Oosterwolde. There are several nice cycling and walking routes in the area. More information about nature and environment can be found in the cottage.
