The nature in the immediate vicinity of the nature house is beautiful and varied. The nature reserves Schaopedobbe, Stobbepoele and National Park Drents-Friese Wold are both within walking distance of the group accommodation. Within cycling distance are the Doldersummerveld and the Fochteloërveen. In the vicinity you will also find nice villages such as Diever and Veenhuizen.
