A nice place to fully unwind, read, write, study, listen to music, eat good food, drink wine. For 2 people but with room for a possible crib. Located on a property of 3 ha surrounded by agricultural land, at the end of a cul-de-sac. Along the road is the canal, with on both sides only a bicycle path. So no traffic noise. On the estate is also the home of the owners and a smaller guest house. The house is well insulated and is fired by a wood stove. Dry wood is available in abundance. There is also electric heating but it is never used. Pets welcome, dog or cat, provided nature is respected and droppings are cleaned up. Dozens of bird species, squirrels, weasels, martens, pheasants, hares, rabbits, frogs, toads lizards live there. Bed and bath linen is included in the rent.
Nature and surroundings
Pictures of nature say more than 1,000 words. The garden most closely resembles a park-like nature garden. Only the paths are mowed and dozens of grasses grow here intermingled. In season there is fruit to harvest. The cottage is located at a junction of cycling routes, starting along the canal. in season there is plenty of fishing here. Within walking distance (300m) is the nature reserve "de Rammelaars" where wild horses still roam. Across the canal lies the Olmense Zoo, now called Pakawipark. For golf lovers, there are 3 beautiful courses within 20 minutes: Steenhoven, Kempen and Millennium.
