Nature house in Thirimont/Waimes

It's a beautiful little house. It had everything we needed.

Het is een prachtig huisje. Alles wat wij nodig hadden, was aanwezig.

We stayed here during a hot week (heat wave), but the cottage (including the bedroom) stayed wonderfully cool. There’s also plenty of shade in the garden—or sun, if you prefer.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful time, and we went hiking, biking (the Ravel trail on the old railroad tracks is nearby), and explored towns in the area.

Wij zaten hier tijdens een hete week (hittegolf), maar het huisje (incl. de slaapkamer) bleef heerlijk koel. Ook in de tuin voldoende schaduw, of zon als je dat wilt.
De gastheren zin erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Wij hebben een fijne tijd gehad, en hebben gewandeld, gefietst (Ravel op oude spoorbaan is nabij), en stadjes bekeken in de omgeving.

Prachtige plek midden in de natuur!

We already had high expectations based on previous reviews, but our stay exceeded even those expectations. What a beautiful and serene place! We had a wonderful time.

From the cottage, you can go on beautiful walks and bike rides. Even on hot days, it stays pleasantly cool inside. There’s also plenty of shade in the garden, so you can enjoy sitting outside despite the heat.

If you’re here at this time of year, take a look around between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to see if you can spot any fireflies. We were completely surprised by this extraordinary natural phenomenon. We also saw a squirrel scampering through the garden several times, which only reinforced the feeling of being right in the middle of nature.

Peter and Peter are incredibly friendly and hospitable hosts. We’ll definitely be back to admire the surroundings during a different season.

If you’d like to go out for dinner one evening, we highly recommend La Trouvaille!

We hadden al hoge verwachtingen door de eerdere reviews, maar ons verblijf overtrof zelfs die verwachtingen. Wat een prachtige en serene plek! We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad.

Vanuit het huisje kun je prachtige wandelingen en fietstochten maken. Zelfs tijdens warme dagen blijft het binnen aangenaam koel. Ook in de tuin is voldoende schaduw aanwezig, waardoor je ondanks de warmte heerlijk buiten kunt zitten.

Ben je hier in deze periode van het jaar? Kijk dan eens tussen 22.00 en 23.00 uur rond of je vuurvliegjes kunt spotten. Wij werden totaal verrast door dit bijzondere natuurverschijnsel. Daarnaast zagen wij meerdere keren een eekhoorntje door de tuin scharrelen, wat het gevoel midden in de natuur te zijn alleen maar versterkte.

Peter en Peter zijn ontzettend vriendelijke en gastvrije gastheren. We komen zeker nog eens terug om de omgeving in een ander seizoen te bewonderen.

Mocht je een avond uit eten willen gaan, dan kunnen wij restaurant La Trouvaille van harte aanbevelen!

Very nice location, lovely terrace to sit outside . The cottage itself is also fine and complete enough .
