Nature house in Sondel

This 6-person detached nature house is located near the village of Sondel in a small-scale bungalow park on a lot of approximately 480 m² (partially fenced). This comfortable vacation home is wheelchair-accessible. The home is barrier-free, with wide doors and (on the ground floor) an accessible bathroom with a toilet. The ground floor features underfloor heating, and the living room has an air conditioner for both heating and cooling. The entryway leads to the bedroom, which features a double bed designed for seniors (one side of which can be raised to a care-height level), and the living room with kitchen (refrigerator with freezer, combination microwave, dishwasher, induction cooktop, Philips Senseo Switch, and electric kettle). On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and a second bathroom. These bedrooms are also equipped with Auping beds; the bed in the front bedroom is at a senior-friendly height. The home is heated by a HRE central heating system with underfloor heating and air conditioning downstairs. There are solar panels. There are 4 terraces surrounding the house, and there is plenty of garden furniture. You can rent bicycles, bed linens, and other items at the reception desk.

This nature house is located in the gently rolling landscape of Gaasterland (southwest Friesland), within walking distance of the Gaasterland forests and close to the Bremer Wilderness. Within cycling distance are several nature reserves (Sondeler Leijen, Oudemirdummer Klif, Mirnser Klif, and the Frisian IJsselmeer Coast) managed by Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten, and Fryske Gea. Directly behind the park is a bike and hiking trail that connects to many other bike and hiking routes. In addition to its diverse nature reserves, this part of Friesland boasts a rich culture. The nature house is located in a small-scale park with a reception desk (limited opening hours). There is a playground with a swing, a climbing frame, a ping-pong table, and other equipment. Since May 2025, Parc Sondel has had a natural swimming pool. Because it is an unsupervised swimming pool, certain provincial regulations apply.
