At De Bommelerhoeve, you’ll stay in a luxurious and beautifully furnished guesthouse. Our nature houses are designed for two people. Each guest cottage has its own bathroom, a sitting area, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchenette where you can cook a delicious meal, and a coffee corner with a Nespresso machine. Enjoy a panoramic view of the meadow through the large glass front. In the spacious sitting area with a wood-burning stove, you can curl up in a cozy corner with a book and a mug of tea. But when the weather is nice, it’s of course wonderful to be outside. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. And we’d love to invite you to enjoy the cozy seating areas under the covered and heated outdoor space, or the seating in the garden. Through the back gate, you’ll find the path leading to the small beach on the dammed-off Maas River—it’s just a five-minute walk across the meadow. We rent out canoes, electric bikes (and a hot tub in our garden room). Of course, you’re welcome to use regular bikes for free.
Nature and surroundings
Just imagine having breakfast with your sweetheart in the garden, while you watch a few boats glide peacefully by on the horizon. After breakfast, you walk out through the garden gate, along the sandy path to the Afgedamde Maas. The cows gaze at you sleepily as they calmly chew on a blade of grass. Once you reach the water, you can sit back and relax on the little beach or go for a swim. It’s wonderful to just do nothing and enjoy the sun, the water, and each other. Or you can head toward Loevestein Castle, Woudrichem, Gorinchem, or Heusden. You can also opt for a more active outing and go canoeing, hiking, or take a bike ride through the beautiful Munnikenland.
