Nature house in Sint Annaparochie

Staying at the farm in an authentic building decorated with lots of love in accordance with the wishes of today but with a big wink to the 1920s! Sleep in a box bed, cook without an island and collect your own fresh eggs for breakfast! This farm was designed by architect W.C de Groot, who was born on Ameland and died in Leeuwarden in 1939. One sleeps here on a practicing farm where everything still happens in the context of farming of yesteryear! We have Limousine cows, sheep, two Kune Kune pigs as well as chickens, cats and dogs! We cherish the swallows that come to our place every year from South Africa or Southern Europe to raise their brood here again, this has been going on for generations for these swallows. Our love for animals is great but in this cottage we cannot receive pets.

You are in the municipality of the Waadhoeke, near the towns of Franeker and Harlingen and places like Stiens and Holwerd and many more sweet...Besides Swallows, Friesland still has many meadow birds that feast on the still pure soil finds. From this place you are just steps away from the various ports that can take you to our wadden pearls like Ameland via Holwerd, Schiermonnikoog via Lauwersoog, Terschelling and Vlieland you can reach via Harlingen. You can cycle and walk endlessly in the area and of course visit the mudflats, at Zwarte haan you can cross the dike and with clear weather see the Wadden Islands, except Texel of course...Our goal is mainly to let our guests see, smell and taste what it means to maintain a farm and birdlife in Friesland!
