Tucked away in a rolling mound garden on a centuries-old mound is this stylishly furnished studio. The former flower studio measures 40 m² and features a large, luxurious en-suite bathroom with an extra-large bathtub, underfloor heating, a comfortable new Auping Auronde bed, a sitting area with a sofa, a dining area, and a kitchen with cooking facilities, wake up in the morning to a view of the sheep and the rolling mound garden, with the old St. Mary’s Church in the background. Here you can unwind, surrounded by greenery and decorated with an eye for detail. I often hear guests say upon arrival, “It’s even more beautiful than in the photos.” For Yfke’s beautiful silk floral arrangements, you can admire many lovely pieces in the parsonage or choose a beautiful bouquet as a souvenir.... Outside, surrounding the studio, we have two different seating areas so you can also enjoy the setting sun. Included for both studios: bedding, bath towels, kitchen towels, tea towels, dish towels, shampoo, shower gel, etc. And don’t forget a little treat to go with your coffee and tea.

We live in a small village surrounded by nature, in the old Piet Paaltjens rectory dating from 1723, where the famous pastor and poet Piet Paaltjens once lived. Next to the parsonage, in the rolling mound garden, are two beautiful, newly built studios. The public road is 500 meters from the studios, including the bus stop. The view from the studio is amazing—surrounded by greenery, meadows, and a rolling mound garden, with the old St. Mary’s Church in the background. We’re a 10-minute bike ride from the ferry to Ameland and Dokkum. This is an ideal base for exploring the Lauwersmeer region, with endless bike paths along the coast and a beautiful, peaceful setting.We hardly ever have traffic jams here. Schiermonnikoog and the Lauwersmeer region are also easily accessible from here on your e-bike (bring your own or rent one in Holwerd). The Fryske Wouden is also highly recommended and nearby, and the Elfsteden Cycling Route is simply magnificent. Welcome to Fryslan.
