A Unique Overnight Stay in a Mobile Home Looking for something different from your own tent, which you set up reluctantly every year? Are you completely fed up with towing a trailer? Or are you simply looking for a unique camping experience? This nature house offers the perfect solution. The campground has a real mobile home available. The mobile home is fully furnished: A nature house in a unique location on the edge of the Geele Bosch. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and gas stove. Sleeps 5 (1 double bed, 3 single beds). Towels and bedding can be booked separately. Breakfast is available for booking (reserve upon arrival). The nature house is located on the edge of our campground. You’re welcome to use the restroom facilities.
Nature and surroundings
Our campground is located between Heerenveen and Wolvega. Thanks to its central location, you can quickly and easily reach tourist attractions in Friesland. Giethoorn, Terherne (Kameleondorp), Sneek, and Appelscha are about a 30-minute drive away. In addition, Thialf and Sportstad Heerenveen (offering various sports activities) are within biking distance. You can start your hike right from the campground, for example through the nearby forests of Oranjewoud or, of course, in the Geele Bosch. If you’d rather explore the area by bike, that’s certainly possible—there are beautiful bike routes in the area, and a route from the bike junction network runs right past our campground. In addition, the LF3 route—part of “the Netherlands’ long-distance cycling route”—also passes by our campground. Just 300 meters away is the Tjonger, where you can fish and which is also navigable (Turfroute). The Le Roy Gardens are within walking distance.
