Nature house in Sannidal
Eastern Norway, Norway
- 4 persons
- 1 bedroom
- Pets allowed
This traditional and rustic tent was built in 2019 and stands on a huge wooden platform in the middle of the forest by a small lake. It is equipped with simple furniture, but still very comfortable and cozy with lots of furs and blankets. In the middle of the tent there is a small wood stove. On the platform there is a kitchen workstation with the most important equipment for a 2-3 day stay. Down by the lake there is a barbecue & fire pit. The lavvu has a diameter of 7.5 square meters. There is a toilet house behind the tent. There is no running water or electricity. Back to basic :)
Nature and surroundings
The area of Kurdøla Gård is accessible via a dirt road which is closed with barriers. This means that not everyone can enter the area with vehicles and maximum peace and relaxation is guaranteed. You will of course be given a key and can drive and park almost in front of the tent. In winter, however, the road is not cleared. But with snowshoes, which you can rent, it is an exciting and great experience to explore this area. As there is no traffic and very few people, Kurdøla is rich in flora and fauna. You will certainly only need a couple of hours to find the first tracks of roe deer, stag, elk or beaver. The water in the lake is very clean, but not tested for drinking water quality. Fishing is permitted, there are small trout and bream in almost all of Kurdøla's lakes.
