Our haystack is completely completly furnished with sitting and dining area, kitchen, shower, toilet, and 2 lovely box spring beds (can be put apart). Possibly expandable with a folding bed for a 3rd person. (25,- per night, including bed & bath linen) Outside area completely fenced (pet welcome) with picnic table and seating. You don't have to get out of bed for the sunrise: waking up in time is enough! A rich breakfast with local products, walks and bike rides in the area make it complete!
Nature and surroundings
Vacation in one of the most beautiful places of the Achterhoek in a Haystack! In the yard of our authentic Achterhoek farmhouse 'de Smale' with cows, chickens, an orchard and large vegetable garden. In the middle of nature with a fantastic view over the ash landscape and corn mill de Ster. With, from April to November, the cows as your closest neighbors! Within walking distance of the church village of Geesteren, 10 minutes by car from museum towns like Borculo, Ruurlo, Diepenheim and Lochem. In addition, it is the perfect base for a nice bike ride or a beautiful walk through the Achterhoek nature. A wooden shoe path and green switch walk can be started from the yard. And of course cycling trips to surrounding places like Diepenheim, Lochem, Barchem and Borculo. Cities such as Deventer, Zutphen, Doetinchem, Winterswijk, Enschede and Hengelo are within 30 minutes by car.
