The cottage is in a spacious yard and is the upper floor of an outbuilding of the farm. Wood-fired and with partly mud walls, the living room with kitchenette has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. Two small bedrooms and a neat bathroom complete the house. The cottage is equipped for 4 people, possibly the sofa bed in the living room gives the possibility to expand this to 6. The estate is inhabited and managed by a self-sufficient living community of 8 adults and 4 children, dog, cat, sheep, goats and chickens. One resident manages the adjacent self-harvest garden with a rich supply of ecologically grown vegetables and herbs. As a guest, you can harvest your own as a "meal service. The front door of the cottage is at the beginning of the yard. WIFI available. Bring your own bed, bath and kitchen linen.
Nature and surroundings
With a view of the river, meadows surrounded by pollard willows and, in the distance, the Veluwezoom, you can try your luck here as a lover of good views. The cottage is 500 meters from the river, where you can enjoy walking and bathing. There is also a swimming lake nearby. Over the dikes of the Rhine and the Waal you can make beautiful bike trips. Around the head of Pannerden (where the Rhine and Waal split) is an extensive nature reserve where you can stroll freely. In addition, the Veluwezoom is easily accessible by car and bicycle (20km). Also cultural-historical you can do well here. Fort Pannerden has a museum through the dark corridors and the medieval castle Doornenburg has a nice terrace and regular activities, from sword fighting to classical concerts.
