Nature house in Wezep

We really liked the cottage itself, along with the mobile home. There were three of us—two friends—and one of us slept in the mobile home. That way, you can still have some privacy even in a relatively small cottage.

Het huisje zelf, samen met de pipowagen, beviel prima. We waren met twee vriendinnen, en één sliep in de pipowagen. Zo kun je met een relatief klein huisje toch privacy hebben.

There was certainly plenty of space and nature; it’s a lovely, private spot surrounded by trees (not much sun). But in terms of peace and quiet, it really wasn’t what we were looking for: we seek as much silence as possible. However, if you sit outside in front of or next to the cottage, you constantly hear traffic noise from the main road in front of the house. And if you go cycling in the area, you’re always near one of the two highways that run through there, so you end up cycling through traffic noise again. At the nearby swimming spot—a beautiful little lake—it’s the same thing. Not our idea of nature. This was the first time in eight years of booking nature houses that I’ve heard constant traffic noise.

Ruimte en natuur was er zeker, het is een heerlijk privé plekje omringd door bomen (weinig zon). Maar qua rust was het echt niet wat wij willen: wij zoeken zo veel mogelijk stilte. Als je echter voor of naast het huisje buiten zit hoor je continue verkeersgeraas van de doorgaande weg voor het huis. En als je gaat fietsen in de omgeving zit je altijd wel in de buurt van één van de twee snelwegen die er lopen, dus fiets je weer in verkeersgeraas. Bij het zwemwater dichtbij, mooi meertje, idem. Niet ons idee van natuur. Dit was voor het eerst in 8 jaar natuurhuisjes boeken dat ik continue verkeer heb gehoord.

The cottage is in a beautiful place very private. The chickens walk around in the yard. It is a small house (with next to it a fine pipo wagon with sleeping space for 2 with a sink) but very complete. Actually you bring your own clothes and groceries and everything else you need is there.

Het huisje staat op een mooie plek heel privé. De kipjes lopen rond op het terein. Het is een klein huis (met daarnaast nog een prima pipo wagen met slaapplek voor 2 met een wastafel) maar heel compleet. Eigenlijk neem je eigen kleding en boodschappen mee en verder is alles aanwezig wat je nodig bent.
