Nice place, cozy cottage

Leuke plek, gezellig huisje

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Despite the heat (30 degrees), it was a great place to stay. Annemie was always there to help if we had any questions. So hospitable!
We were there for “Westerwolde Rijgt,” an open gardens week. We also took a few walks from the cottage through the small nature reserve—peaceful and beautiful.
We cycled along the canal and visited two secondhand flea markets.
The cottage is well-equipped. Everything we needed was there. The beds are comfortable. And the porch, with a view of the meadow and the canal beyond, was fantastic!

We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad in het verblijf. Ondanks de hitte (30 graden) was het er goed toeven. Annemie stond altijd klaar als we vragen hadden. Super gastvrij!
We waren er voor 'Westerwolde Rijgt' een open tuinen week. Verder een paar keer vanaf het huisje gewandeld door het kleine natuurgebiedje ; rustig en mooi.
Langs het kanaal gefietst en twee tweedehands rommelschuren bezocht.
De voorzieningen in het huisje zijn goed. Alles wat we nodig hadden was er. De bedden zijn goed. En de veranda , met uitzicht op het weiland en daarachter het kanaal was super!

A fine cottage: all the necessary was present, provided with (not too many) clear instructions, rented by very nice people. But the double bed was a bit tight, too tight for us, two seniors. Fortunately, the cottage was 4-person so we could also use one of the two single beds. The cottage was full of "well-chosen knickknacks," you have to love that, and I myself found it interesting. I find filling in the following questions a bit difficult, because we did not inform ourselves of all those possibilities. We were in that area to enjoy the peace and quiet and to visit acquaintances who had moved to that area.We thought it would be wonderful to walk or bike there.The questions

Een prima huisje: al het nodige was aanwezig, voorzien van (niet te veel) heldere instructies, door heel aardige mensen verhuurd. Maar het 2-persoonsbed was wel wat krap, te krap voor ons, twee senioren. Gelukkig was het huisje 4-persoons zodat we ook van een van de twee eenpersoonsbedden gebruik konden maken.

Het huisje stond vol met 'welgekozen prullaria', daar moet je van houden en zelf vond ik het wel interessant.

Het invullen van de volgende vragen vind ik wat lastig, omdat wij ons niet op de hoogte hebben gesteld van al die mogelijkheden. Wij waren in die omgeving om van de rust te genieten en om bekenden op te zoeken die in die omgeving waren gaan wonen.
Het leek ons prachtig om daar te wandelen of te fietsen.

De vragen

Yes there was peace, space and nature around the cottage and in the area, we enjoyed. A big advantage is the location of the cottage, it stayed cool even on hot days. And it was also very nice to sit outside, protected from the sun by a shelter.

Ja er was rust, ruimte en natuur rondom het huisje en in de omgeving, we hebben genoten.
Een groot voordeel is de ligging van het huisje, het bleef er koel ook bij warme dagen. En ook was het heel fijn om er buiten te zitten, door een afdak beschermd voor de zon.

The cottage has everything you need. The only thing was that the second bedroom is not windproof, so if it is windy then you feel the wind when you are in bed.

Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het enige was wel dat de tweede slaapkamer niet winddicht is, dus als het goed waait dan voel je de wind als je in bed ligt.

Very nice quiet environment. The landlords are very nice and nothing is too much.

Hele fijne rustige omgeving. De verhuurders zijn heel aardig en niks is teveel.
