La Colombe is the back tiny-house on a spacious 2,000 m² property with only two nature houses and the owners' home. The perfect place for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle. From the cottage there is a panoramic view of the impressive Château de Puilaurens. At the rear, the property borders directly on the "Forêt de Fanges", a vast mountain forest. From your cottage you can walk straight into nature. The cottage has a kitchenette, sitting area, double bed (1.40 x 2.00) and a bathroom with toilet, sink and walk-in shower. In front of the cottage is a garden set where you can enjoy breakfast overlooking the castle, the beautiful mountains and the forest. In the garden you can also find nice shady spots to relax with a book or a good glass of wine. Located in a charming hameau with the village center within walking distance for fresh bread, basic groceries and a restaurant. Every season has charm. Parking available on private property, pets not allowed.
Nature and surroundings
Located in the more rugged part of the Pyrenees, La Colombe is a paradise for nature lovers. Delightful walks can be taken in the "Forêt de Fanges," which covers 8,000 hectares. The scents in this forest and the flora and fauna are a true experience. Eagles fly above the mountains, squirrels, lizards, deer and pigs with their offspring not infrequently show themselves. The views over the mountains are breathtaking - this is France at its finest! Templars, Cathars and even Druids lived in this region. The château you overlook from the gîte is known as one of the last refuges of the Cathar "Parfaits." Discover medieval villages, museums, charming towns and cozy French markets. Everywhere you can find tasty restaurants and learn about the ancient stories that make this region so special. In the cottage there is a folder in which all kinds of attractions are described, here you will not be bored for a moment.
