Want to enjoy a lovely spot right in the heart of the Betuwe, in the river region? Yes! You can do just that with us, on the property next to the (Polder) Mill, where our family lives on the edge of a (quiet) industrial park. You’ll be staying in our “Tiny Guest House”—two former construction trailers joined together that we’ve renovated ourselves into a practical, cozy little retreat. The cottage has all the basic amenities: cooking and kitchen utensils, a dishwasher, a washing machine, an oven, heaters (gas, electric, and wood-burning), and a shower with a toilet. The stay includes bed linens and kitchen towels. Inside, it’s a cozy little cottage with a comfortable sofa that converts into a cozy bed in no time (193x135, so nice and snug). During the day, enjoy the outdoors on the south-facing terrace by the water. Isn’t this exactly where you want to be? Our “Tiny Guest Cottage” for 2 people. Nature and surroundings
The Betuwe is one of the most distinctive regions in our country, with beautiful walking and biking trails—including those along the dikes—through the picturesque villages along the Linge River. There are two (standard city) bikes available, and you can rent an e-bike. A small boat is ready for you, or you can rent one of our vintage tractors for a unique experience. This region is the ideal place (also) as a base for all kinds of excursions. Plus, the train station is less than a five-minute walk away, and you’re still surrounded by nature. In short: What more could you ask for? You’ll truly enjoy your stay here with us! A lovely, fully equipped place to stay, where you can sleep with the doors open and enjoy a view of the fields. Walking from the station past some industrial buildings, you’ll come to a beautiful windmill that’s lovingly managed and lived in by Erwin and Loïs and their family. Swimming in the Linge River is within walking distance. We were warmly welcomed and treated to fries, all while enjoying complete freedom. Our dog Marie started to resist when we walked back toward the train (even though we have a pretty nice place ourselves). Apparently, she was having a great time too.
Fijn onderkomen van alle gemakken voorzien, slapen met de deuren open, zicht op het veld. Lopend vanaf het station langs wat bedrijfsgebouwen kom je bij een prachtige molen die met overgave wordt beheerd en bewoont door Erwin en Loïs en hun gezin. Zwemmen in de Linge op loopafstand. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en getrakteerd op frieten, tegelijk alle vrijheid. Onze hond Marie begon tegen te werken toen we richting trein terug liepen (terwijl we zelf ook best leuk wonen).
