This large holiday cottage sleeps up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. Downstairs there is a large kitchen and sitting room. The room Papillon has a bath as well as a shower. There is free, fast Wifi. This gite is next to the owners house in the old converted mill building. It has a seating area with patio furniture and BBQ. The shared pool is over the river. There are 8 hectares of gardens and grounds available for guests to enjoy. There are numerous seats and sun loungers dotted around the garden and hammocks on the island and up in the top field if you really want to get away from it all. The gardens are planted with flowers, fruit trees and vegetables and are a haven for butterflies. Parents of small children should be aware there is an unfenced river with bridges just outside this gite.
Nature and surroundings
We are fascinated by the nature that we share the nature house with. We are lucky enough to have 20 acres (nearly 8 Hectares) of land, bisected by the clear River Bandiat. Frogs of all kinds and fire salamanders amaze and delight us on damp warm evenings. We have recorded 64 species of butterflies in our garden and grounds alone - more than in the whole of the UK! Orchids flourish throughout the summer. Our donkeys graze the fields in the high summer Red squirrels play in the trees around the Mill House and golden orioles sing in the woods behind the gites. Our 2 caves are home to 7 species of bats.
