The former farm (fermette) is located on a dead-end road over a kilometer from a hamlet, Lavalade. Approximately 300 meters further is another boarding house for horses. There the road ends. Via forest paths you can continue. There is a village with a bakery 4 kilometers away. You can reach it by bike, but there is a steep climb back. In the nature house there are four bedrooms and another intermediate room with a sofa bed. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob and a refrigerator. The attic is insulated and can be kept perfectly warm in winter by stoking the wood-burning fireplace downstairs. On hot summer days the attic does get very warm. There is a large bathroom, with a cramped shower and a bathtub.

There is much to discover in the Dordogne: rivers, caves, amusement parks, castles, climbing parks, aquariums, villages and even two cities. Many markets: regular market on fixed days per village, vide-greniers (flea markets) and brocantes (antiques, or very expensive fleas). The house is on the edge of a forest, overlooking the countryside. From the house you can make good walks: it is located on the special route, which is plotted by the municipality. The area is also excellent for cyclists. Water sports can be done about 10 kilometers from the house. For swimming, Tremolat is suitable, there the Dordogne is deep. For canoeing, Limeul is better. For (wave) surfing, the beaches around Bordeaux are better, but that is about 2.5 hours by car.
