On a quiet paved road is this Saxon-style farmhouse built in 1928. Many elements from the 1920s have been preserved although the house is equipped with central heating, shutters, insect screens and a modern kitchen. The farm is located in the heart of the Achterhoek with unobstructed views over the scenic landscape. Near the nature house are several attractions as the maze and museum More at Ruurlo castle. Also many bicycle paths and hiking in the immediate vicinity. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset on the terrace. For families with children there is a large playground available with several swings, playhouses and 3 slides. The children can also help feed the goats and chickens and collect eggs themselves. In addition, there are several indoor play halls, petting zoos and swimming pools in the area.

Around Ruurlo are the estates Het Broek, Brinkmanshoek, De Bruil, De Haar, De Heurne and Veldhoek. There is some manufacturing industry in the village; the surrounding area has many agricultural and livestock farms. The village is attractive because of its location in the Achterhoekse coulisse landscape and the presence of historical heritage. Larger places at some distance are Doetinchem, Zutphen, Lochem and Winterswijk.
