Just outside the town of Borculo, in the hamlet of Dijkhoek, on the property in the orchard of farmer Gerrit and his wife Ria, this beautiful, detached wooden nature house is fully equipped for a delightful and relaxing stay in a stunning, nature-rich setting, with a view of the deer enclosure and the Galloway cows in the pasture—which you’re welcome to feed. There are also chickens near the cottage that you can tend to, and hopefully they’ll give you a fresh egg in the morning.(if they’ve laid any) In the garden, there’s a nice outdoor BBQ, which can also be used as a fire pit. The bedrooms are on the upper floor; if you have difficulty walking, the stairs might be a bit of a challenge. You can also visit the museum (a trip back in time) located on the property for free; Gerrit will share wonderful stories that will transport you back to those days.
