Nature house in Wibrin

The cottage was small but cozy. The surroundings were beautiful—perfect for unwinding completely! The cottage was clean and well-maintained, the check-in instructions we received were clear, and the owners were friendly and quick to respond to our questions. All in all, a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend it.

Het huisje was klein maar fijn. De omgeving was prachtig, perfect om even helemaal tot rust te komen! Het huisje was netjes en goed onderhouden, de instructies die we kregen rondom inchecken waren duidelijk en de eigenaren waren fijn en snel qua contact en vragen beantwoorden. Al met al een hele fijne ervaring! Zeker een aanrader

It was a quiet and cozy little cottage; we were right next to a road, but there wasn't much traffic. The description mentioned that it might be busier during the holidays, but we didn't even notice that!

Het was een rustig en fijn huisje, we zaten wel langs een weg maar hier reden weinig auto’s. In de beschrijving stond nog dat het drukker kon zijn vanwege de vakanties maar zelfs daar hadden we geen last van!

What we really liked was that there were two bottles of La Chouffe waiting for us :-)
It was also very clean and tidy!

Wat we erg leuk vonden was dat er 2 flesjes La Chouffe voor ons klaar stonden :-)
Verder was het erg schoon en netjes!

It's a cozy and clean little house, fully equipped with all the amenities.
Since the garden borders the street, you can sometimes hear a car driving by, but it's still a wonderful place to sit and relax!

Het is een knus en schoon huisje, van alle gemakken voorzien.
Doordat de tuin aan de weg grenst hoor je soms een auto langs rijden, maar je kunt heerlijk zitten in de tuin!

It was 40 degrees, and the cottage only had a small (hotel-style) refrigerator with no freezer. We couldn’t get the drinks cold. Even the next morning, they were still lukewarm. There was no Wi-Fi and no cell service on my phone either, so there was no way to check what was going on in the area. The stairs to the attic are scary and definitely not suitable for older people. The attic is so low that if you stay there too long, you’ll end up with a herniated disc. The owners had left out two local beers, which was very nice, but they’re no use if the fridge doesn’t work properly. There were two glasses and a bottle opener included. We took them with us because we thought they were part of the set, but 15 euros was deducted from my security deposit for that. There’s also no TV. All in all, not an experience we’d repeat.

Landlord’s response: It’s a shame you had this experience. If you had read through all the information carefully, you would have been fully informed about what we do and don’t offer. And unfortunately, a heat wave like the one that week is unprecedented here (and also in the rest of Belgium and the Netherlands).

Het was 40 graden en er zat maar een klein (hotel) koelkastje in het huisje zonder vriezer. Het drinken was niet koud te krijgen. Zelfs de volgende ochtend was het nog lauw. WiFi was er niet en verbinding op mijn telefoon ook niet, dus je kon ook niet kijken wat er in de omgeving te doen was. De trap naar de vliering is eng en zeker niet handig voor oudere mensen. De vliering is zo laag dat als je er te lang blijft je er een hernia aan overhoud. De eigenaren hadden 2 biertjes uit de streek klaar gezet wat heel aardig was, alleen kan je er niks mee als de koelkast niet goed werkt. Er stonden 2 glazen en een opener bij. Deze hebben we meegenomen , omdat we dachten dat ze erbij hoorden, maar daarvoor is er 15 euro van mijn borg afgehouden. Er is ook geen tv. Al met al niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Reactie verhuurder: Jammer dat jullie dit zo ervaren hebben. Indien jullie alle informatie goed hadden doorgenomen; waren jullie voldoende geïnformeerd over wat wij al dan niet aanbieden. En helaas; een hittegolf zoals die week is ongezien hier (en ook in de rest van België en Nederland).

The cottage is located on a road with a lot of trucks and other traffic passing by. I didn't think this was a nature house. There's plenty of nature in the area, but not really within walking distance.

Het huisje staat aan een weg waar veel trekkers en overig verkeer voorbij komt. Ik vond dit geen natuurhuisje. Er is genoeg natuur in de omgeving, maar niet echt op loopafstand.
