Nature house in Harfsen

Be sure to bring a sleep mask because a lot of light comes in, and mosquito repellent too, since there are no screens and there are really, really a lot of mosquitoes and flies. Outside, there’s a picnic table and two chairs. The garden isn’t very big—not big enough to lie down and sunbathe, for example ;) As for noise, you’ll occasionally hear the farmer working the fields, but other than that, no cars. Unfortunately, on the Heide, you can hear the adjacent go-kart track fairly regularly. And all in all, it’s a lovely and unique place to spend a week :-)

Neem wel een oogmasker mee want er komt veel ligt binnen en ook muggenspray want er zijn geen horren en echt heel veel muggen en vliegen. Buiten is er picknick tafel en twee stoelen. De tuin is niet heel groot om bv in te gaan liggen zonnen ;) Qua geluid hoor je af en toe de boer het land doen, maar verder geen auto's. Helaas hoor je op de Heide wel de naastgelegen kartbaan met enige regelmaat. Al om al een fijne en bijzondere plek om eens een week door te brengen :-)

Plenty of privacy in a unique location. A beautiful sandy path leads you to this secluded cottage on a wooded lot. You’re completely out of sight of others and have total privacy. The surroundings are beautiful, and you’re right on the edge of the trailhead for the Gorsselse Heide. There’s plenty to do in the area, and you can be in Zutphen, Gorssel, or Deventer in no time. Within walking distance, there’s a little spot where you can grab a bite to eat and a drink. Another nice touch: there’s a small vineyard where you can enjoy sitting outside. The surroundings are gorgeous! The cottage itself is fully equipped, and even though it’s a bit dated, I found it to be a lovely place. There are plenty of magazines to browse through and a cabinet full of books and games. By the window, there are two leather lounge chairs perfect for reading a book. The couch is comfortable, and the beds are great. Upstairs, there’s also a bathtub with a view of the trees :)

Veel privacy op een unieke locatie. Je komt via een mooi zandpad naar dit vrij gelegen huisje op een boskavel. Je hebt van niemand inkijk en zit helemaal privé. De omgeving is prachtig en je zit aan de rand van het wandel startpunt van de Gorsselse heide. In de omgeving zijn genoeg dingen te doen en je bent in no time in Zutphen, Gorssel of Deventer. Op loopafstand zit er een tentje waar je wat kunt eten en drinken. Ook erg leuk, er zit een kleine wijngaard waar je heerlijk buiten kunt zitten. De omgeving is prachtig! Het huisje zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien en ondanks dat het gedateerd is vond ik het wel een fijne plek. Er liggen veel tijdschriften om lekker in te bladeren en een kast vol met boeken en spelletjes. Bij het raam zijn twee relax stoelen van leer om in een boekje te lezen. De bank zit comfortabel , de bedden zijn prima. Boven is er ook een ligbad met uitkijk op bomen :)

I missed a closet where you can hang your clothes, and hooks for towels in toilet and bathroom.

Ik miste een kast waar je je kleding in kunt ophangen, en haakjes voor handdoeken in wc en badkamer.

Completely hidden in the greenery, with a view through to the open field. A beautiful thick oak tree in front of the terrace provides shade (I liked it). If you want in the sun you can also sit to the side of the house. At night I saw a starry sky that I had forgotten existed: no light pollution! The house itself is nice and spacious with good heating. Good beds. Both upstairs and downstairs a toilet is also nice.

Helemaal verscholen in het groen, met een doorkijkje op het open veld. Een prachtige dikke eik voor het terras biedt schaduw (vond ik prettig). Wil je in de zon dan kun je ook opzij van het huis gaan zitten. 's nachts een sterrenhemel gezien waarvan ik vergeten was dat ie bestond: geen lichtvervuiling! Het huis zelf is lekker ruim met goede verwarming. Goede bedden. Zowel boven als beneden een wc is ook fijn.
