Our cozy 54-square-meter nature house, located in the countryside outside Laren in the Achterhoek region, was built by us on the upper floor of a barn. To help you fully enjoy the peace and space, we’ve kept the furnishings simple, without too many electronic devices. There is Wi-Fi, but we’ve deliberately chosen not to include a TV. Thanks to a cozy pellet stove, it’s perfect for a winter stay. At night, it’s still truly dark here, and you can hear nature. The cottage offers a beautiful view of a charming, organic, lush garden with old trees, set in a typical Achterhoek bocage landscape with grazing roe deer and plenty of birds. Bicycles are available for rent to explore the beautiful surroundings. The garden features a spacious guest area with a view of the meadows. Unfortunately, no babies, children, or pets are allowed.
Nature and surroundings
You can hike and bike to your heart’s content here in the Achterhoek. The Pieterpad trail passes by just 1 km away. There are cycling route junctions that take you, for example, to heathlands such as the “Grote Veld” with its flock of sheep, or “Gorsselse Heide.” But you can also visit various estates and castles around Vorden. Lovely quiet stay. Cottage was brought in Christmas atmosphere which made it even more homely. Ability to cook your own meals was fine. Bedroom a little cold but living room good warm with the stove, lovely atmosphere! We have walked Pieterpad and an afternoon in Deventer.
