Rural location in an agricultural area. An originally 18th century house with modern extension with underfloor heating and overlooking the countryside and the beautiful landscaped garden. The whole with an area of approximately 50 square meters consists of entrance, living room original bedstead, The bedroom is not large but equipped with 2 - 1 person electrically adjustable beds together and extension with sitting area and kitchen equipped with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher and filter coffee machine. Breakfast can be optionally booked on site for € 15 per person per day. In the extension there is also a shower room with toilet. Please note that the old part of the building has been left as it was originally, which means that there are low doorways! Outside are several seats. The car can be parked on the street on a private spot! 50 meters from the house is a train track, single track. Inside you have little burden of it and outside is not so bad. 1 small dog allowed no other pets.
Nature and surroundings
The rural cottage is located on a through road which is quiet in the evening and night. Centrally located in the triangle of Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Hoorn and all 3 places are about 10 km away. Expect no forests here but farmlands where in spring the tulip fields bloom lots of cauliflower is grown and picturesque ribbon villages such as Hauwert, Twisk and Opperdoes. Station Hoogkarspel is 3 km far. There are many hiking and cycling routes nearby and the Markermeer with its many beaches is nearby. In both Hoorn and Enkhuizen many museums such as the Outdoor Museum and in Medemblik the Bakery Museum and the steam train to Hoorn. Consider a round Medemblik - Hoorn with boat and steam train! Bicycles can be placed in a locked shed. The cottage is in the painting season of 2026 outside painted (date not yet known) This may cause some inconvenience.
