Discover the beauty of the Groninger Hogeland! Enjoy the tranquility and space during your stay. A new, attractive and sturdy nature house, beautifully situated in the area of the Reitdiep with a wide view over the farmlands. It is a surprisingly spacious, comfortable and sustainably built cottage. It is made of larch wood, with a green roof and suitable for all seasons. It is equipped for 2 to 3 persons. The nature house has a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook delicious meals. Bath, bed and kitchen linen are also provided. There is a lovely covered terrace facing south and a very large garden all around with lots of privacy. The cottage is detached and built on the owner's property.
Nature and surroundings
You can enjoy a beautiful view over the farmlands with the villages of Zuurdijk, Leens and Ulrum in the distance. The accommodation is adjacent to a small nature reserve, managed by Staatsbosbeheer. Klein Wispelheem is situated in the oldest cultural landscape of the Netherlands, an ideal cycling and walking area. Be surprised by old Groninger villages and their churches built on mounds. Within cycling distance is the tea factory of Houwerzijl and the fishing village of Zoutkamp. The borg Verhildersum in Leens is also worth a visit. The National Park Lauwersmeer is nearby, a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. And a day trip to Schiermonnikoog is highly recommended! Lovers of gardens can indulge themselves for example at the Nursery Kleine Plantage in Eenrum or Domies Toen in Pieterburen. This village is also a base for wonderful mudflat hiking tours. The historic Elfstedenstad Dokkum is 25 kilometers away, as is the bustling student city of Groningen.
