We live on a residential farm, 7 km from the historic town of Zierikzee. In the lee of our large barn, the nature house faces south. A mobile home under the cherry tree, overlooking the sheep pasture. With a sitting room, bedroom, kitchenette, shower and toilet, you can stay there contactless. An ideal place to rest. Enjoy the silence of the polder, rustling poplars, burning wood stove, spotting (predatory) birds, walking and cycling. With picnic table and hammock, possibly room for extra tent next to it and studio space in the barn. A second small bedroom with narrow bunk bed is also available. Free wifi and two bikes available. We are closed during the winter months of November through April.
Nature and surroundings
Beautiful Schouwen-Duiveland has much to offer for cyclists and hikers. This northernmost island of Zeeland is only 45 car minutes from Rotterdam and Antwerp. One kilometer from our nature house the cycling and hiking routes start, with spacious views over the Zeeland farmland. The beautiful ring villages Dreischor and Noordgouwe nearby and 10 minutes cycling to the forest of Schuddebeurs (with tavern and terrace). By car you are within 20 minutes on the North Sea beach and forestry Westenschouwen, at the Grevelingenmeer (and beach), at the Watersnoodmuseum with panoramic views over the Oosterschelde and at the Brouwersdam with beautiful surf spots.
